WOW!!! The focaccia with mascarpone cheese and gorgonzola cheese is a MUST TRY!! That’s terrific!!!Paolo is simply the best!
Authentic Italian cuisine. Charming atmosphere. This is my second time here and both times the food was amazing. This is the Pistachio gnocchi
We had been getting mediocre Italian food from another nearby restaurant, where Chicken or eggplant parm meant canned tomato sauce with a slice of mozzarella thrown on top. Then we finally came here and everything was fresh and hand made - probably the best eggplant parm I’ve ever had.As others have said, the food is more expensive and the portions are smaller. But the quality of the food is really worth it. We’ll be coming here more often.
real Italian cuisine restaurant. fresh homemade pasta. fresh and artfully cooked food. nice, kind and very attentive staff. the tiramisu is AMAZING! we will definitely be back and we will bring all the Italian friends who will come to visit us. top!
This restaurant really let me down. Came in with my husband and the service was slow slow. Other parties were getting more service. The pasta was not freshly made that day. They sell their own frozen pasta, in a freezer, in the restaurant and the raviolis we ordered tasted just that - previously frozen. It was a pricey disappointment for the quality of food and service.
Great grilled octopus. Margarita pizza wad not as good as it has been in the past.
Not very good Italian in my opinion, and certainly not at these prices. I wanted to like it because it’s close by and the reviews were so good. Unfortunately our experience didn’t meet expectations. The free bread was so hard and dry it hurt my teeth to bite it, honestly like a rock, not soft or fresh. No dish of oil or spices to dip it in.Entrees were “just ok”. My chicken parm was over cooked and dry (needed sauce). Pasta was ok but arrived cold and the marinara wasn’t very flavorful. Eggplant was also ok but just lacked salt/flavor. Tiramisu was good.As perspective I’ve had better Italian from a strip mall pizza place for 1/4 the price.
Pizza was amazing, perfect cheese, sauce was pretty good, and the crust was alright. But the quality of the cheese was what really made it some of my favorite pizza in Clearwater amazing stuff keep up the great pizza.
I had high hopes and was looking so forward to having a night out at Acqua Alta especially after our wonderful dining experiences in Italy. Maybe it was an off night as earlier that day the restaurant had participated in a tasting event with Ed's Fine Wines, however, our meal did not live up to our expectations nor the reviews. When asked by our waiter how dinner was I said good, just one of those nights I didn't feel like challenging the meal. I saw a management photo in TA of their homemade bread, definitely not what was placed in our basket on Saturday evening. My black ink linguine with seafood left a lot to be desired and most of my shrimp were undercooked; as a matter a fact one was completely raw and I pushed it to one side and chose to bring home with the remainder of my meal to finish cooking. I may give them another chance and see if it was an off night.
I came here on Tuesday night didn’t know how the place was found it on google maps I am from Italy and as soon as I came inside I felt the Italian atmosphere that you feel in Italian restaurants the place it’s very nice and cozy too the server was very nice the “boss” Paolo was very friendly too, if you really want to have some good Italian food and not the “fettuccine Alfredo “ that the other “Italian restaurant” sell you have to come here it was so good that we even came the second day for lunch to try their delicious burrata fatta in casa ovviamente
