Good afternoon we love Steak and Shake the food was great the shakes were great but can we get waitresses back we do not lack the keyhole tab order food it's sad let's get some humans in there to do the work please Steak and Shake you make enough money lost all the shakes were great but shakes were great let's do breakfast again we missed breakfast I hope somebody read this that owns the Steak and Shake and get back the pancakes and coffee breakfast was great and let's get humans working let's get rid of the robots have a great day mr. I came to this same Steak and Shake 4 or 5 years ago and they told me they didn't have anything which was gluten free so I hadn't been back since. Today I met a group of friends there and it was a different restaurant with the same name. When I asked a waiter about my allergy, he got the person in charge. She was friendly and a careful listener. She even shared that her own daughter suffered from allergies which immediately gave me relief. The fries are fried in separate oil from any breading, the shake equipment is carefully cleaned and kept free of cross contamination. She suggested a burger which they put in a little bowl and gave me extra lettuce to wrap it with. The food was out fast, perfect temperature and delicious. I can't remember the last time I could have fries!! All the counters and tables were meticulously cleaned and the same "person in charge" was serving customers. Turns out she is the owner! Her husband and her bought it a year ago. They have done a great job with it. If you haven't been here in the last year, come visit this new and improved version.
First I was highly disappointed to see that steak and shake has changed from a restaurant where there are waiters and waitresses and friendly staff to a cold empty location with limited assistance. I did not enjoy standing looking at the menu on the kiosk and deciding what I wanted to buy. I did not like that I had to get up and go and get my order. If I wanted that experience I would go to McDonald's or Wendy's or Burger King. I like those restaurants but I chose steak and shake for a different experience. Second I did not like the Styrofoam cup nor the paper straw. What a disgrace. All of that and prices have gone up and not down. My wife accidentally ordered me a combo and I only drink water. I went back to ask for a refund for the drink and they told me it was impossible to do so. What a disgrace. I will not be back.Oh, I almost forgot. The tables were also sticky.
I ordered a double garlic steak burger on Uber eats. I paid extra for another patty and I asked for it without cheese. And much to my surprise, not only did it have cheese, but it only had 2 patties. Pretty peeved that I burnt almost $25 on this order and I can’t even eat it.
Service at this steak and shake is terrible, waited 30 mins for our food which is no big deal but when i asked for our drink cups we were treated as if we were lying so then she made me show proof of purchase which is fine i get it, but when im waiting that long for our food and you can clearly see on their end i bought 4 drinks and was still waiting for them dont act like i am lieng to you. We then ordered 4 milkshakes to go, sat and waited 20 mins because i didnt want to rush them as they had a pretty decent crowd. I then noticed they completely skipped over our number and was handing out everyone else’s milkshakes they ordered, i then go up there and say ive been waiting 20 mins for 4 small milkshakes and we have yet to receive them and our number was completely skipped over, she then proceeds to tell me they didn’t have our order acting if i didn’t order to which i showed her the receipt and how conveniently she comes out not even 2 mins later with all our shakes, they literally sat in the back the whole entire time and by time we got them it was literally the consistency of water. To make it better one of the kids milkshakes they busted through the cup when making it and instead of just dumping it into another cup the brilliant people just decided to put another cup under it and not say nothing to us, well because the consistency was of water it all dumped out the cup when we got to the vehicle. Wont be going back to this one ever again, we were not refunded any money for making us wait so long, and like i said only to be treated like we lied about purchasing our 4 drinks with our meal and then once again with our milkshakes.
Amazing fast service, extremely helpful and friendly staff. We barely wanted a few minutes for our food and shakes, and they checked on us to make sure we had anything we needed, as well as helped us order using the self service screen.
Restaurant was clean. Had one encounter with a team member. Very nice man. Gave us directions to Lowes. Very friendly. Will come back when we are in town again.
Finally management made some changes! Now you order on the kiosks and its more of a self service. Thank goodness they kept the regular soda machines and didn’t put those fancy many flavored kind that change the taste. The only thing is please bring back the fry seasoning!
Used the drive thru Saturday ordered 3 double meals, with milkshakes. Cost 30 bucks. One meal was not a double. To far away to go back to casselberry. They were good and fast. Which is why we went to the drive thru. Will go again but if using the drive thru will take the time to check out the order.
Burger was good as always, but the fries had no flavor and were cold. Disappointed. Ask for fresh fries when you order here.
