Stopped into Santa Rosa Mexican Restaurant today. On the corner of 436 & Howell Branch Rd. We were greeted immediately and told we could choose our seats. It was pretty empty. She took our drink order & quickly returned with drinks as well as chips and salsa. They were great, the salsa has some heat! ? Got the lunch special for $8, which included 2 crispy tacos, refried beans and rice. Also ordered a shredded chicken chimichanga. Everything was delicious. The gals waiting the tables were super nice, talkative, friendly and didn't mind explaining some menu items. The restaurant was impeccably clean. Total for the 2 dishes and a Corona was $23. Well worth it! I stopped by because I didn't know it was there, but saw a post from the owner on my home community page, welcoming new guests because they had just moved locations. They're hard to see from the road, but are in the same plaza as Big Lots, Harbor Freight and Dollar Tree, but off to the side. Give them a shot. Everything was fresh and delicious, served quickly and with a smile. Wait staff is masked. Their cleanliness blew me away. ??
This was an extremely disappointing meal, especially for $18 + tax. I could immediately feel by the weight of the togo bag that I wasn't in for a feast but I figured maybe the flavor would make up for that, and boy was I dead wrong. The steak is thinner than some beef jerky, well done with no char, and had as much flavor as flour. Only about enough guacamole for one chip. I'd say the best thing was the jalapeno which was actually the hottest one I've had.
The pork street tacos are amazing. Chips and the jalapeño queso are delicious. Great service too!
Love this place! It is now located at the corner of Howell branch and 436 in the Big Lots shopping center. The new restaurant is beautiful inside and the food is just as good as it was at the prior location. This is my go to spot for Mexican food. Everything is freshly made and taste extremely delicious. Highly recommend! It is nice having a laundromat next door to wash clothes and be able to have dinner at the same time… even to wash my comforter while having dinner is a perfect way to get two things done at once!

Four point winner on food quality, portions, service and overall cleanliness. Top notch. A truly enjoyable Mexican food experience in a family friendly setting. The menu has an excellent range of classics as well as some creative dishes that appeal to all pallets. The location is great, with sufficient parking. The margeritas were excellent with a generous pour. I really liked this place and will be back.
Cute little Mexican joint serving up delicious food and great Margaritas. This is right in my boyfriends neighborhood and our first time going. We were quite pleased with the service, atmosphere and food. It was all wonderful and the margaritas were not premixed. Excellent choice for some great Mexican, even referred a family member of his to go and really enjoyed it as well.
I live right across the street from this place, but just recently discovered it on door dash . We have ordered from them 4 times already! The food is so good, we’ve tried the chimichanga, the tacos and the burritos, and the chips and queso . Those are our go too! All the food has been amazing the price point is great, and they deliver so fast . Definitely definitely try this place if you can !!!
