Came here off of a recommendation. Very disappointed. We were a table of 8 which they couldn't accommodate us together so split us into 2 tables. No choice because we were hungry. Drinks are water with good coloring. Wine and beer is all you can guarantee has alcohol in it. Overpriced menu inflated prices especially the pineapple bowls which they tried to say came from Hawaii so they were smaller but all they gave you was a scoop of chicken $26.00. The people that recommend it said it use to be $17. We understand inflation but the portion size should've accommodated as well you increased the price and gave us less. Service was super slow with drinks. Good came out quickly just wasn't worth the hype. The guy playing music set a positive seem for our large party so we got through it. Will not return and will never recommend.

Beer & Wine Only - Walking distance to the Bridgewater Inn. Pleasant local bar staff and the beer was cold.

We went here on a Saturday around 5. It was raining and it was not busy. It is a small place. I did not go inside as we sat on their covered patio. It did rain but we stayed relatively dry. The view is great and the food better. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Margaritas are $5 everyday and we had just missed the mimosa special. Margaritas were stroooong.I had the grouper sandwich. One of the best grouper sandwiches I've ever had. The French fries were wonderful too. We had the grouper bites to start with a Chipotle Mayo. So good. My sister had a spicy shrimp app, which was more like a mini salad, but was good. My husband had the grouper tacos. He really enjoyed them.I imagine this place gets really busy when weather is nicer and during high season. They have a small parking lot and again I imagine when it's busy it would be hard to find parking.Definitely will visit again and highly recommend!

Visited Hooked with friends this evening for the first time. We had been looking forward to trying it. Let me say the food was good but it was over priced. I ordered the Mac & Cheese with Jerked Chicken. And it came in a smaller bowl for $17. No other accompaniments, not even the bread crumbs that we’re supposed to be on the top. I politely shared my disappointment with our server. She seemed surprised so I asked her to share with management. There wasn’t any response from anyone or apologies for my disappointment. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

First time at Hooked Island Grill. The seafood pasta was great. Very flavorful. My wife got the Grouper and was happy with it as well. Great location on the water.

We are year round residents of this area and are always on the look out for great places to bring out of town guests. The unicorn fish dish is probably the best fish dish we've had anywhere in Florida. Wait staff is so friendly and helpful. We've been back lots of times to make sure it wasn't just a good night for the chef and the dish is always perfect. We have had other dishes there that were also really good but the unicorn fish is always our favorite.

The wife and I live near here and decided to try this place today as our neighbors had recommended it. She ordered grouper tacos/fries/slaw and I ordered fried shrimp/fries/slaw. The food came very quickly and our server was very good. My shrimp were cooked well and were tender but with more bread than I care for, but that is easily scraped off. My wife's tacos did not look appetizing and she said they were just ok - she ate the fish but left most of the rest. Our fries were inedible; typical frozen restaurant fries, but had been cooked long before we got there and were served lukewarm. The slaw had an odd flavor which neither of us cared for; we generally like most all kinds of slaw. The Coronas were excellent and cold. In all, the meal was mediocre at best. Cost with a decent tip for a good server was $60+. To be fair, our neighbors had ordered different meals when they were there.

We stopped around 2:30 on a Saturday for a late lunch and it was great! We will definitely come back! There’s ample seating inside and out. I highly recommend the traditional grouper sandwich and grouper tacos. My mother in law got the small Cesar salad with Grouper and it was great too!

If you didn't know the place was there, you would drive past it. Sits on top of the Gulf Inlet. Wonderful scenery, great food, especially their Florida Gumbo! Super friendly staff, and inside seating isn't bad. Fish tacos are great!!

I’m not a seafood eater and had planned specifically to eat the pineapple boat with chicken while vacationing in southwest Florida. It did not disappoint - so delicious! The staff were friendly and even provided ice water for our dog (she enjoyed her burger as well).
