Holy cow, this was such a GREAT experience! Everything we had was just absolutely DELICIOUS! We had the crab cakes, lobster bisque, Salmon Felix, the Big Easy, and the key lime pie and can't recommend them all more. All the seafood was meaty and fork tender and hands down the BEST seafood we've ever had. We had the pleasure of having Adrian as our server and can't wait to eat with him again. He had great recommendations, was attentive, and was a great server! We'll be telling everyone to try this restaurant and to eat with Adrian!

We were in Tampa for a dog show and decided to try Shells. The food was very good. My husband had been wanting oysters on the half shell and he said they were delicious. He also had the fried scallop platter which he said although they were small they were delicious. I had fried shrimp which were very good. We both loved their coleslaw. Our waitress was very good. Should we be back in the area we would eat here again.
Wow! Living in the Midwest I don't get seafood this fresh and Shells doesn't disappoint! Our server Bailey, is friendly and personable. She showed true interest in us and helped us navigate the menu to pick the best dishes for us. I asked what she would order and she recommended: Fresh Mahi Mahi Felix topped with jumbo lump crabmeat and roasted red peppers in a lobster cream sauce. Served with seasoned rice over vegetable medley. (Pictured) Iwas not disappointed, I am still so full an hour after eating while writing this. Thank you Bailey, perfect choice! I think this should be called "The Bailey Special" My wife got the Baby Lobster Pasta, Succulent baby lobster tails tossed with linguine in lobster cream sauce. She was blown away and the sauce could be a soup! Our son "ubered" us so we could enjoy the bar, we started off with a Mojito (wife) (which the bartender didn't know how to make but got it pretty close) I got the house margarita with a sugar rim, very good. We then switched gears to an Island Breeze (AMAZING! Light and refreshing like the name suggests and my drink the Rum Punch was true to its name too as it felt like I got punched in the face rum, not a bad thing! Atmosphere is light and approximately themed, everything looked and smelled clean. We don't live here, but if we return we will be back! The bartender was the best part of the dining experience. He was excellent. Unfortunately, everyone else from the manager to the cook were just not with it at all. I have been going to this Shell's for decades and I have seen it fold under the weight of poor management before. It is headed there again. I will not go back to this restaurant (?). What a shame. The cook AND the manager should be fired, the restaurant closed, and the staff re-interviewed for their jobs. This place is in dire need of an enema!!!
Great service. Friendly atmosphere. All of our dinners were amazing! I've always got take out but recently got to dine in and really enjoyed the atmosphere.The clam chowder is the best I've had. The prices are very reasonable. I also highly recommend the shrimp mezzo mezzo, the Big Easy, the jambalaya, and the shrimp skewers yum! There's so much more I want to try but I usually end up ordering one of the above. Can't go wrong with this place!
This restaurant by far exceeded our expectations in terms of service and food expectations. Bailey was our waitress and was an exceptional example of a what exceptional customer service should be. She was knowledgeable and always on top of our needs. Never had to ask once for our drinks to be filled or ask for additional services. She always was attentive. The rest of the staff were exceptional as well. The waiters would place the food into the kitchen and immediately after we would receive our order. All the foods are professionally prepped and present exceptional presentation. They make you feel like your eating right off the beach. We are also a military family and they provided us with an amazing military discount as well. We definitely recommend this place to all family and friends!

Went to Shells for my 64th birthday?Had the seafood pasta… it should be called, Seafood Delight! It was packed full of seafood and was delicious. If I didn’t know better I would have thought the sauce was made with butter, but it’s not. So rich and buttery tasting and silky smooth.Our waitress was so sweet and thoughtful by putting a “Happy Birthday” message on my dessert❤️Fabulous! Thank you.This is our favorite place to eat.
Good food. I like the tropical chicken salad, clam chowder. Great staff. Reasonable prices.
