I literally live 5 minutes away walking from this place for over a year and just found out about it and didn't regret it.. This little place is amazing..the Mama breakfast really beats any breakfast deal out there the pancakes are so huge you ain't even gonna finish one and they taste amazing.. the French toast wow everything was insanely good all of it for less than $20 bucks. This place is a breakfast dream come true.. definetly recommend if you out of state and looking for a breakfast place you need to hit this spot... Btw best sweet tea in town ??
normally i have a great experience here. food is incredible, along with service. i went today and had an awful server. as soon as i placed my order, she told me i should get a smaller portion because “i’m too skinny to be eating that much.” my father, whom i was with, ordered his normal meal and got told to make sure he “works it off.” this is completely unacceptable behavior from our server. i don’t appreciate the comments she made and i was very unhappy with her service. i suffer with an insecurity about my weight and her little comments affected me strongly. though i will come back because this is one of my favorite restaurants, i will not have this woman as my server.
Whenever I'm in the Tampa Bay area, I always make a point to go to the Recipe Box. This is the best place for breakfast and brunch. I had the Triple Decker (see photo), which was on point and quite filling. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Although they weren't very busy, it took some time to get our food. Fortunately, they told us that they were short-staffed. If you are in Brandon (outside of Tampa), be sure to go to the Recipe Box.
Absolutely the filthiest restaurant! I. Our first clue should have been the large cockroach that was on my grandsons plate under his pancake. Living for years in Florida-we almost understand how it could happen. Sadly we went back today, I was shocked how dirty and the awful smell of mildew. After only eating a small portion of my food I became instantly sick. Never again!!

The food was delicious and the service was great! The pancakes are huge. The best French toast was the best I've had from a restaurant. I'll definitely be back!
It’s a generic breakfast joint. Decorations on the wall from Walmart. Menu printed out using Microsoft Word. Fox News right1wing propaganda on three of the five televisions. Their stuffed French toast has apricots in it… why? Bread wasn’t toasted very well, eggs were overdone, waitress barely checked to see if I had any coffee left. Really nothing sets this place apart from IHOP or Waffle House, but at least with those places you know what you’re getting.
Great food! If you love breakfast food, this is one of the best places around the Brandon area. The corn beef hash is homemade and a huge serving. That's my usuall and I've never been disappointed. Everything we've tried here has been excellent. If you go on the weekend, be prepared to wait.
Went yesterday for the first time and OMG, the food was fenomenal. The portions are big but they offer half portions as well. Best corned beef hash I've ever had!! Even though they are short staffed, the food came out quick and the staff was really nice. Will definitely go back and definitely recommend.
Went here earlier this morning for the first time. Ordered clints chicken, after a couple bites i noticed some green splotches on the bottom of my biscuit. I believe its mold, our server whom was surprised came back minutes later and said it was green dye from the packaging. We didnt finish our meal. Paid in full and then left.
