We used to love this place! However they no longer have table service. You go to the counter and order the food. I would not be so annoyed by this except for the fact that we have been sitting at a table waiting for our food for an hour now. Our total check was $70. For this price and wait time I could have actually had service someplace else.
Ordered a big catering meal for my daughter’s first birthday through Mobile Meals this last weekend and everything was perfect! I’ve been ordering family meals for a few years now and they’ve always been delicious and perfect. Always on time, NEVER have ever forgotten a thing. So genuine and kind over the phone as well. I love this place.
The deviled crab is fantastic. The Media Noche is superb. In the past I've had the Cuban and I think it is better than any I've ever had.George Y.
Amazingly good food at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff and food is serve in a nicely appointed setting.We were there around 5:00 p.m. and most of the patrons were coming for take out service so the restaurant dining area was empty.For now you order up at the front and the food is brought to your table. We were ask several times if everything was OK.Expect a friendly greeting when you enter and everyone is treated like a regular patron.Plenty of parking and easy to find. This was our first visit, but if and when we are back in the area I'll be sure to stop here again.
We have been eating here for years. Since the owners son has begin to manage this restaurant it has declined. The food quality has gone down, the service has also declined. The prices have stayed the same or higher as everything has gone downhill. This was at one time a quality restaurant with great food. No more. Even the black beans were no better than opening a can from the grocery store. Chicken was completely dried out. Rice was warmed Zatarans. Most anyone can press a Cuban so it was acceptable. Ordered 2 basic meals and spent over $40. We don’t plan to return. So sad. Life changes but we so wish the the parents could take over again.
Amazing flavorful food! The staff was very friendly and the food was the best. I was happy to see they are allowing dine in again, and it's cute in there with plenty of seating. I also highly suggest trying the pink sangria, very refreshing.
Excellent is the only way to describe this Cafe. The food and customer service is fantastic and they catered my Christmas Eve get-together with family and friends and it was fabulous!!

3 stars because the food was good but could be better.Sign says taste of Ybor but really not that authentic! Even the music taste feels ;nothing like a Cuban location in Ybor.cashier didn’t know the difference between sweet plantains and fried , which would have made a difference in my meal choice because friedwas my pregnancy craving . I would have got a different dish, If she was knowledgeable and told me it was sweet (plus I asked 3 times) of the menu when I asked which kind were served with the lunch fusion bowl. I would have chosen something different because I chose that specific meal thinking I was getting something else. So that was a little annoying a let down when my meal arrived.Food was good . Staff needs to be more knowledgeable of their menu when a customer has a question could make a whole difference between 3 and 5 stars ⭐️.
