My daughter and I frequent often, she loves the chicken and especially the the chicken pasta soup! I typically get the half chicken or the "no name" I have been to this restaurant no less then 50 times over the years always good food for a great price. Staff is always polite and friendly. The last couple of years have taken out alot of good busineses, I am so excited this place is still around. Great place to grab something healthy and on a budget! Thank you C N B's
Well my 23 year customer loyalty to Chick-N-Bones is at it's END!!I've been frequenting this establishment since mid 1999 and never had an issue with the food, prices or friendly staff under the original husband and wife ownership team. However, since they retired a couple of years ago this new owner has raised prices 4 times while providing lower quality food and less of it. Things like changing the sweet tea (a Southern staple) from homemade real tea to a cheap, flavorless mass produced brown sugar water.Then yesterday I ordered the same meal as usual, and the price was ~$2 higher than last week and didn’t match the video menu screen directly above the cashier’s head. She called over the neophyte owner who exclaimed “I don’t know why it’s ringing up that price when I programmed it with this price” all still not matching the prices above his head on the menu board! I pointed that out to which he explained those prices were wrong. To which I said how can you raise prices without letting your customers know? I only received a dumbfounded look in reply.Add to that, I had a $1 off “loyalty reward” which they included but only for 93 cents, what happened to the other 7 cents?!! At this point I was done with their incompetent math skills and just said here take my money.Now about 10 minutes later I get my food and the portion size of the main entree and the included side order of fries were noticeably smaller not to mention overcooked. The chicken was very dry and the fries nearly burnt. At this point I was done, no amount of reasoning or logic can fix stupid and this guy has no concept of running a successful business that caters to the public food industry.The staff that has been there for 2 decades is gone, and regardless of the ‘$’ google price category this place is not worth the trip!UPDATE (May 11, 2022) I'm always amused by business owners "Peter Madson" that fail to do the right thing up front and only try to recover after the damage is done . While I do appreciate the last ditch effort, you cannot fix a mentality of poor business practices like when someone gives you 93 cents off a $1 off coupon! If you're that desperate for 7 cents I am afraid the other customers 'roach in the food' is the least I should be worried about!!
My stomach is so happy! This place is about the best little hidden gem in Brandon. If you didn't know it was here, you would'nt know it was here! The staff is very friendly! Lots of food, filling and a great price. From quasadillias to tacos, to salads, to chicken & ribs. My fav, the NoName, black beans rice, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce topped with mile high chicken! ...and the peppercorn dressing, oh my! This will put Chipotles' bowl to shame. Chick-n-Bones, This is my new go to eat place!!
If I could give less than one star, I most definitely would. This wasn't my first time ordering from here, but it will be my last. I found a roach in my salad . I've eaten here on many occasions. The food has always been good so I was shocked and disgusted. Received a full refund but there is no way that roach was alone. Never again

Friendly, helpful service went beyond to help us. Big servings of food. Paper plates and plastic utensils but food was hot and delicious. Restaurant clean. Many food items to choose from.
The workers , the owner , and the chef , super friendly, never had bad experience at Chicken on the Bones , I’ve been going there for 7 years , great food , fast service , the staff very polite and friendly! Thank you great service at Chicken on the bones !
Good local restaurant, with great food and service. Best chicken I've had in a while, and large portions too !! Their large menu selection should please everyone.
I tried this place today and enjoyed the Olympia sandwich. Loved the blackened chicken as well for those who want a bit of spice in their life. It's addictive! Ordered two days in a row! New fav place!
