I just walked in at 10:20pm on a Saturday, I had checked the website and Maps and it said they closed at 12 and the kitchen was open until 11.. when we walked in (myself and 4 other family members), the bartender made a snark remark about a “family” walking in and made a hand slitting their throat gesture.. the manager also came out and let us know that the kitchen was closed, which is totally fine if the website is wrong but we didn’t need to be treated like that. The bartender was just so rude and although who I assume was the manager, a blonde woman, was polite, the bartender was disgusting and rude and the other servers who ran up to be sure to tell us their kitchen was closed and we could see ourselves out to the closest Applebees if we wanted something to eat “so late”…. I really didn’t mind that the kitchen was closed but it was the way we were treated and the side remarks that I didn’t appreciate. I hope the manager heard the bartender and the servers and put them in their place after we left. We did in fact go down to the Applebees and enjoy our food! PS- update your hours on Google and Maps. Sports Bar! Loud and very clean. Great staff. Chili great! LED lights a bit too bright. The burger is good size but no taste. We don't ever salt anything but had to apply salt three times before we got any flavor. Bun very greasy just fell to pieces. Tater tots alright. Brewed sweet tea great! We hate salt & pepper mills with a passion. Always hard to use and greasy to hold. Unsanitary. Simple is best. Nice looking place!
We have been going here pretty much from when this re-opened after pandemic. We usually go 1-2 times per week.It has been a favorite because it is clean , food is hot and fresh and the fries were the best. (In fact a big part of us returning there)Unfortunately this past month the fries have not been the same .. and in fact not very nice at all. So today I asked - if this was a permanent change ?I was bassically informed - not sure - but with everything going up .. believe it was because they are "cheaper" :( :(Sadly - cheaper is not always the best policy for business !
First time visiting The Parrot. Our table ordered the Philly Cheese Steak & the Mussels with Tomato & Garlic. Both were delicious. The atmosphere was fun & relaxing. There is seating both inside & outside. All of the servers were very friendly. We will definitely be back.
We have dined at this Bar/Grill a couple times previously, and assessed it as a lower end 4-Star establishment. It's a bit above a typical "Bar/Grill," if no other reason than its food. The food is generally good, with good menu selections.On this last visit, the server was not very good. Since it was after the normal mid-day lunch hour, they were not very busy, with many tables open.First, the server only ensured one place setting, we asked for another, and we didn't get it until halfway through our meals. And, that only occurred after we asked again. I had given my place setting to my co-diner, since I just had a sandwich. How, I later needed a fork due to parts of the grouper, with its sauce, fell into the plate.Moreover, our initial drinks, a beer and a Bloody Mary took a very long time in coming. I'm okay with the typically slower service in the islands and sometimes in Florida restaurants, but this was extensive, and the re-order of a draft beer was also unusually long, even based off previous visits to this restaurant.My co-diner mentioned he would not return to this restaurant, and acknowledged it was due to this one server. Unfortunately, it was I who selected this restaurant for our meeting to chat.
Stopped by with my lovely daughter visiting from out of town and had an Exceptionally great Bloody Mary with Tito's corn made, Texas Vodka. They were hot and spicy with horseradish and Old Bay seasoning on the rim with lots of juicy green olives just as we asked for! Great service outside in the beautiful Florida spring air and a beachy atmosphere, we enjoyed our drink together. I highly recommend! Put this place on your do not miss list!
To the owner: If you’re wondering why this location is slower than the rest, it’s because the staff is rude and incompetent. Today, I accompanied my father who was meeting some old friends who he hasn’t seen in 40 years. He is in a wheelchair so he actually called to confirm the accommodations yesterday and whoever he spoke to was rude, cut him off and then hung up on him.Today our experience was not much better. The food was pretty good and the kitchen service was fast which is the only reason I’m leaving a two star review instead of one star.After eating our lunch, the waitress brought the tab (which was all on one check)… my father promptly gave her his card, which was swiped and returned. I handled the receipt and tip for him so he was able to enjoy his conversation uninterrupted. Our waitress was given over 20% as we spent about an hour at her table. As my father was leaving- he was spoken to like a criminal when the manager told him “you’re not leaving because you haven’t paid your bill!!” He stopped in the doorway (his wheelchair holding the door open with zero assistance from your staff). My father being the only one who apologized for the confusion and immediately pulled the customer copy receipt from his pocket. At this point he was told again that he hadn’t paid and could not leave. I personally made sure the signed receipt was placed in the black leather folder that it was brought to us in, was signed and left visibly on the table. The staff magically found the signed copy and said it was on a chair under a napkin which i know is not true. Now I understand that things happen, but to be accused of not paying our bill after the waitress CLEARLY had to swipe the card it had been paid on is completely asinine. And THEN there was zero apology offered and the staff actually tried to argue with me about it, after I came back inside to make sure everything was taken care of. I was given a dirty look and just straight attitude from your staff and manager. As I am aware, you have cameras, so when your staff tries to tell you otherwise about their side of the story… i highly suggest you check your cameras. We will never be back. The way this situation was handled is unacceptable.
Food was very good and hot. Our server seemed a little distracted, but she did get our orders correct and did get us everything we needed.Something about the construction of the interior of the restaurant always makes it a little loud in here, and when there is a large group it can get really loud. Luckily tonight, it wasn't super-busy so it was OK. In cooler weather, it's better to sit outside on their patio.
We are happy to have found this place as we live close-by. The food is very good! We ate outside in a screened-in porch. I understand they have live music some nights so we are looking forward to another visit.
I ordered the steak medium rare and it came out very chewy. When asked if I wanted another I accepted. Then I was told the are all from the same batch so they would all be the same. So I ordered the seafood platter. The sauce tasted like tomato soup. Service was average. Food was terrible.
