I was in on 3-24 and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I got a Rueben that was MOUTHWATERING! Stacked with all my favorites! The young lady in the back (I think she was the cook) greeted me and my wife with such enthusiasm! And let me tell you who ever prepared this Rueben has gotta passion for what they do! I just can’t wait until me and my wife can try something new! Will definitely be back!10/10 New York All The Way!
After living in Bradenton for the past 6 years we decided to try it for take out. The menu online evidently expired over a year ago and the girl helping me got so overwhelmed over that she just could not function anymore. To keep it simple I ordered a Meatball sub and my wife got a chicken hero. Gross I've never had a Meatball sub in my life that did not have sauce on it. This place is disgusting and gives NY a bad rap.
I had a large order. Non of it was edible. The stromboli and the boss sandwich had to be thrown out. I also did not receive my entire order and I cannot get ahold of them due to their phone being either taken off the hook or always busy. Save your money. This is the worst food I have had in a long time. Sad because we were excited to try them
We’ve been looking for a real-deal NY deli lunch for quite a while. We found one today at Mellie’s. We shared a huge Woody Allen sandwich and French fries. The Woody Allen is a combo of pastrami and corned beef piled high on rye with spicy brown mustard with a good NY pickle on the side. Our lunch was delicious and the price very reasonable. Our servers, Tiffany and Michelle were both friendly and knowledgeable. Too bad they had to work - we really enjoyed chatting with them!! The service was quick and efficient. We live about an hour away but will definitely be back soon to try some Mellie’s other NY delicacies!
No where near a NEW YORK BAGEL... TOTALLY DISGUSTED.. FAKE BRONX BAGELS.. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. WHEN I ASKED WHAT KIND OF BAGELS YOU HAVE IN A BAGEL SHOP AND WERE TOLD ONLY 4 KINDS.. THEY HAD NO CREAM CHEESE JUST PLAIN.. AND THE COFFEE WAS HORRIFIC.. LIKE DAY OLD.. HAD TO PUT 4 CREAMERS AND I STILL LEFT HALF..TOTALLY DISGUSTED!!
Very Mediocre experience. Only one other couple eating in the restaurant and our food took 20 minutes to make a sandwich for me and salad for my wife. Salad was very small & my sandwich was tiny and barley had had any meat. Even the portion of fries was small. Pictures of sandwiches on menu look huge and packed with meat. Service was however friendly. They may want go visit a deli in NYC and see how it’s done, rude service with huge portions…ha!
Very disappointed. We were really looking forward to our first visit. The restaurant was not the cleanest. The cook put her bare hand into the coleslaw to put on my sandwich while touching everything else in the place. The Yank sandwich was lacking taste and on a stale bun. The corned beef sandwich was very salty and also lacked taste. The combo included potato salad that also had very little taste. We ended up throwing all the food out.
Great people working here. Friendly, good food, nice patio to sit outside.
