While in town on vacation and looking for gluten free restaurants their name came up and we wanted to give them a try. Having food allergy issues it's sometimes a challenge to feel safe eating out, no worries here as they were knowledgeable and reassuring. It was evident they care about the food and it's preparation, and it showed in the wonderful flavors, and quality of the meal. Will definitely come back the next time we are in town.
WOW! I normally don't look at German food as something to seek out but this place is incredible! Tucked behind Publics grocery the staff is earnest and cheery. They have a tiny beer garden tucked in a corner that is a nice private area. The food is insane. I got the wild hunt and the schnitzel was incredible but strangely the cucumber potato salad was almost better. Together they flavors paired perfectly even if it doesn't sound like it. Most underrated resteraunt in the city. Second time there whole new order everything great again.
We called to make reservations she said big party was coming,so we would know they were going to be busy. There was like 25-30 people in the party. We made it in before they did. Food was wonderful. It was nice seeing older people gathering to fellowship together and enjoying a great lunch at the same time. These women were on top of their game in taking care of everyone. We will definitely be back soon.
We've eaten here many times. I've never had a bad meal. Actually, I've never had a meal at the Lucky Frog that was less than superb. It's a small, locally owned place that serves delicious German fare. The chef cooks behind a half wall to keep an eye on the patrons. We sometimes chat while he cooks. Everything is just right - the schnitzel, the sausages, the German beer - even the side salad is special. If you want something different, ask for potato pancakes with a sliver of salmon. Perfect!
Very welcoming and pleasant. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food is cooked to order and was served piping hot. We were stuffed with the lunch portions, I’m sure dinner would necessitate a to-go box! Everything we ordered was delicious!!
I really enjoyed the food here.It is the best german restaurant in town. The potato pancakes were finger linking good. I tried their snitzel lunch special and enjoyed it.For desserts we had the crepes with blueberries and those were my favorites.
Authentic German food,Had roast pork sauerkraut and dumplings.Very good, plenty to eat.The owner is very nice and eager to help.Got crowed fast. Will be back.A must try if your in area.
