Good Food Homemade Pasta …
Beware please. We ordered their (fake) gnocchi and rose Maria tortellini on Tuesday night. Within 2 hours of consumption My wife was vomiting profusely and in severe pain. Within 4 hours of consumption it became so bad that my wife could barely move or get off the bathroom floor. Needless to say, we spent the remaining night and following day at Manatee Hospital, due to severe Staphylococcus Aureus food poisoning (diagnosis provided after CT Scan and lab work). I’ve never seen her this sick and we have experienced significant health problems in our past. ER doctors requested for us to notify the restaurant so they don’t serve anymore containmented food. They notified the Health Dept. Crap happens and so do mistakes for everyone is human. However the staff instead became defensive and nasty about our statement and immediately started down a road that we were not trying to enter. We are only trying to protect them and their customers with informing them to remove the Contaminated food which would hopefully keep anyone else from experiencing this tragic situation. This type of food poisoning can be fatal to those who have weakened immune systems. Also it can happen anywhere, so it’s best to use discernment wherever you choose to eat.
Phenomenal White Pizza! Wow! Color me impressed! PERFECTLY seasoned! Nice thin crust - outrageous. Best I have had in this state. Antipasto salad wasn’t memorable. Not a fan of the cold cuts used. However, super friendly employees made up for it. Chris is a doll. Cute restaurant. Will return for pizza!
Best Stromboli ever. Fair prices, fresh salads, over-all great food, and did I mention the Stromboli? Delicious. While there is not a ton of seating at Fav's, it's all comfortable and fun. Either inside or covered outside where the hustle bustle of downtown can be enjoyed. Fav's is one of our family's all time, never disappointing, favorites!
Pasta craving completely satisfied! Spaghetti & meatballs with salad, bread, olive oil to dip bread, grated cheese… friendly service, beautiful wooden carved tables …Delicious ???
I think they forgot to ring our food in because we waited about 40 minutes for 2 pizzas and this was after the crowd had left, the people who came in 20 and 30 mins after us got their food at the same time.I would have been a little more forgiving but the server just disappeared after that and some guy had to refill our drinks and bring our food, which was fine... I just wish she would have acknowledged our wait or something. I'm a server as well, so I didn't mind at all, until it was just ignored and she disappeared leaving us with empty cups for a good 20 minutes or so and there was only 2 other tables... It was just weird how she vanished on us.The food was pretty good though, I just wish that they had more options at lunch time... I would have preferred pasta and they only offer spaghetti at lunch time..maybe one more thing but I don't remember cause it wasn't anything I would want.
Fav’s is always a family favorite. This family owned and friendly is an ideal spot for both lunch and dinner. Parking can be spotty, but it’s worth a walk to support such great people and enjoy a delightful meal. Our fave’s @ Fav’s are the pizza, and steak sandwich; but it’s all great. Keep up the great work Fav’s!
Great little outdoor dining spot. Value for money - tasty basic Italian family food offerings. Wait staff incredibly friendly and efficient. Worth a visit.
I had a great Italian meal here tonight. I ordered the special which was tortellini, meatballs with princess sauce. It was one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. Everyone was super friendly. We had an awesome waiter. I can't wait to go back!
Food was very good! Service sucked! Our server messed up from the time we ordered drinks, to having to beg for bread, which was included with our order! Her attitude was that of a 5 yr. old child when asking 3 times. We waited, waited some more. She never came back to ask if we needed anything or if all was ok. We were celebrating our 26th anniversary, first time customers and I have to say I don’t think we’ll be back!
