Love not only this place but the surrounding area. Just adorable artsy streets, beautiful Florida greenery, natural old Florida feel. The homey restaurant is cozy, friendly as it can be. Their Cezar salad was one of the best that I ever ate. And I am picky! I don't go for average Joe kind of food. My friend ordered baked goat cheese with fresh home made toast. Such a delight it was! I also had a beer called Punk lemonade, it was perfect. We enjoyed the great jam session for 2 hours with the best musicians on the West Coast of Florida.Wonderful experience!

friendly staff good food little expensive and had to sit in sun music was good great atmosphere

Cottonmouth it is. $58 later and we not only left with cottonmouth but a yearning for something else! Where do I start? Well let’s just say this... when you order fried chicken, fried tomatoes, and crab cakes and they come out 2 minutes after you sit down THAT should tell ya something. The people serving the food you can just tell they know it doesn’t taste good or at least they “suspect” folks are going to return the food back. Like the other lady on here said SOUL FOOD WITH NO SOUL. Look at the website with the dead breaded chicken that gives you an idea what you should be expecting. Food was bottom line gross. Oh and by the way I did send that cold fried chicken back otherwise my bill would have been $70 something dollars! Word of advice Cottonmouth, change the name and DO BETTER! Serve fresh food not from the microwave!

YES, THIS IS IT... JUST TRY IT... no, wait a second, before you leave the house, stop by your garage... you're gonna need a cot!! This is comfort food, taken to a higher level... the shrimp & grits is like heaven in a bowl, it's got that "sweet heat" flavor... just trust me.Kyle served us, and he was so awesome we wanted to invite him to sit at the table so we could swap stories... this is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. We'll definitely be back!! #sooooogood #icanteven #shouldbeTENstars

Four of us went there for Sunday brunch and the accompanying music. The courtyard setting was well laid out and reminded us of Key West style outdoor dining. The brunch menu was limited but each item was extremely delicious and well prepared. We loved the music too. We plan on returning and bringing some other friends with us.

I visited Cottonmouth for the first time last Friday. It is in the Village of the Arts neighborhood of Bradenton. There was plenty of street parking - easy even for me! The neighborhood was well lit with lots of art and other window shopping on the short walk from my car What a great scene! The staff acted like it was great fun meeting us and taking care of our orders. The live music was awesome! All seats were close to the musicians; the sound was wonderful. They seem to have a happy loyal following there judging by the friendliness between the staff and customers. Some delicious regional dishes on the menu and a nice variety. The atmosphere at the outdoor music area was delightful - sparkling lights strung above, gorgeous huge old Florida trees, great murals, charming building. They routinely have live music including jazz afternoons or evenings on Sundays. The bathroom was sparkling clean. There were also indoor tables for those not listening to the band.I am looking forward to getting back to Cottonmouth frequently!

We've been wanting to visit for a long time but just hadn't been able to for one reason or another. So glad we decided to check it out on the weekend they were hosting women in blues! We couldn't get a seat in the full house out back so we sat out front. We ordered the crab cake, calamari and fried green tomatoes. Everything was very good! Definitely will be going back.
