Good lord this is one of the worst Chinese meals I have had in Bradenton in over 30 years. How some reviews from northerners are positive is mind blowing. Not one Chinese person in this place either eating there or cooking there. This should have tipped me off to how bad the food was. The spring rolls are about the size of a chapstick, the low mein was soggy and over cooked. The moo shu was a sloppy tasteless burnt mess with the pancakes that would break immediately. This food is gag worthy. Didn’t even try the soup we ordered too scared.
Have a passion for certain Chinese foods? China Gourmet has quite a variety of choices. The quality and quantity of my orders allows for an additional delicious meal. I will continue patronizing China Gourmet to completely satisfy my oriental cravings. Check out their on-line menu! I called and ordered my choices and a time for pick-up. I arrived about 30 minutes before my pick-up time and was told that this was no problem and my order would be started immediately. Which it was. Pleasant personnel. We ordered delivery through Door Dash. I had chicken fried rice and my husband had pork and vegetables. Both meals were very bland. I could not detect any seasoning at all. Eggroll was ok but doubt I'll try again.
Their Szechuan tofu is so good! They’re also always very friendly and it smells delicious inside.
The heavy set white lady running the register was very rude after i waited teice as long as told over the phone. I waited an hour and she just brings the food out and drops it on the counter and walks off. Very rude and unprofessional. She should be fired. I was not the only patron to be lied about wait times and she was rude to several others waiting on their orders. I doubt I will return due to the service.
I am a regular now, after trying so many different Chinese take out restaurants finally found the one I like. The food is always delicious and fresh. I highly recommend it.
Food was excellent as always. We decided to order online this time for a 4:15 pickup. Got there a 4:12 and our order was not available for over 20 minutes. We requested to have brown rice instead of white rice. In the past they never charged for this change. This time we ordered three mains and were charged $12 extra for the brown rice...$4 extra for each of the three entries! Unfortunately we will be going elsewhere for our Chinese food.
We just moved to the area from upstate New York where we had our favorite place to get Chinese food. Obviously moving down here we need to find another one, I was in the plaza where Chinese Gourmet was the other day at Publix, I couldn't help but notice how many people were waiting for their food, which is a good sign if a place is that busy. So today, we decided to try it, they did not disappoint. The Lo Mein is the best we have ever had, chicken was done perfectly as well. Highly recommend and will be our Chinese Restaurant of choice going forward.
Very fast, very consistent, friendly, amazing chicken entrees. DELICIOUS Chinese donuts. Overall a amazing place to get take out!!!???
Ordered online. Probably better if they update the order when there is progress. Still shows as in progress after pick up and hours later. Food is delicious but only the order progress gives 1 star doen
