Fantastico! The best of both worlds. Comfortable bar with live music. Plus original Sicilian recipes in the adjacent dinning room. The dishes are carefully prepared by owner/operator/chef Carmen! All sauces are made from scratch and are amazing. I’ve had everything from veal, chicken, ossobuco and of course the amazing Lobster! A presto Carmen!
I can't believe how great the food AND martini's are! The employees, owner and his family, are awesome to talk to and actually take pride in the service AND the food and drinks! I moved here from New England almost 2 years ago. FINALLY food and drinks that are so delicious! I found my "Cheers!"
Really great restaurant! Very good service and atmosphere. I had Veal Parmesan and my wife had Grilled Salmon. Both dishes were excellent! Our friends had Veal Pacita also excellent! Will go there again very soon
Came here with my family for vacation around 8 and waited for about 20 minutes for the server to take our order for drinks and then they took our order, around 9:35 we where still waiting for our food and the server never came to check on us, the waiter only had 2 other tables besides us. I understand low staff on a slow evening as I work in restaurants before but I also know how to organized and check in my tables. By 9:40 a table that was here before us just gotten their food and we where still waiting. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE
best food I've ever had in Florida!! Great Italian food, atmosphere and owner and family that also works here. definitely recommend
I had not been there for probably four years so went back with my wife and two friends for a 7pm reservation. No problem getting seated and our waitress and trainee Jacob arrived took our drink orders and promptly brought bread and olive oil. Drinks arrived and we chatted a bit before we ordered. Placed our order and an hour later our meal arrived. The food was delicious the server kept us informed and although the meal took time to arrive we enjoyed the two hour plus time. My take is be patient and don't be in a rush or you will be disappointed. By the way it is a family run restaurant, not a chain and prices reasonable as we see many price increases these days.
Not one to usually post a bad review- however think that our experience is worth noting. My boyfriend and I came in as a 2 top at exactly 6 pm on a Wednesday evening. There were a total of 11 other people in the restaurant and 2 servers on the floor. I have been before and understand the “everything is made fresh to order” delay on food. However, upon coming in we were sat at a small 2 top table with a nearly empty dining room. We sat for about 25 minutes juggling our menus in our laps waiting for some kind of order to be taken- feeling more and more uncomfortable watching other tables be waited on and served. Finally ordered calamari, a salad and two entrees all at once when we were finally able to do so. Waited another 45 minutes for the salad and calamari until we finally left some money on the table for what little time our server did spend with us and went to leave. As I was getting up to go our server passed us, with zero acknowledgment and I had to verbally get her attention when it was quite obvious what was happening to let her know to which she replied, “oh do you want me to cancel your food then?”.Carmen’s has ALWAYS been my first recommendation to ANYONE in the area when asking for a good place to eat out. I’m embarrassed to think what their experiences have been when they’ve chosen to go, and will never recommend to anyone again. The food may be good, but the service and lack of acknowledgement is just not worth. Wish you all the best, and hope matters can be resolved (seems like there’s quite a few reviews that have had the same issue).
We had dinner at Carmen’s for the first time and loved it! The space is warm and inviting and clean as a whistle. We received top notch service that was efficient but unrushed. I had the clams over pasta with white sauce and my wife had chicken cacciatore and a shrimp cocktail. Both meals were fantastic and we look forward to returning soon. This restaurant is family owned and operated. They have a great deal of pride in their establishment and it shows.
Spent $25 for chicken parm and they gave me a little handful of dry pasta and hard chicken will never go again and would not recommend anyone to go there better off at McDonald’s
Food was horrible. Salad brown lettuce, garlic was burnt ruined the main dish. Shrimp old and over cooked. Spaghetti swimming in water. Eggplant was mushy and burnt. Very overpriced for less quality food. Service was good for only having one person . Owners nice. Comp off bill but we really would of rather had a good italian meal..
