Seafood generally very good. We sat at the bar area, quick service,waiter a bit cocky. Friends ordered oysters on the half shell, frustrating as the shuckers had not severed the muscle, waiter commented they did not have time, would not fly in Texas or Louisiana
We always stop at AMOB when we are in Bradenton. This time we had the popcorn shrimp and the blackened grouper sandwich, both good! We love the coleslow, it has a slight hint of pineapple, and the fries are always fresh and crispy. We also enjoy the cocktail drink specials. We will be back!
I've eaten here many years. Food quality changed during covid and has not returned to former excellence. During this visit, the codfish portion was very small, dry and I suspect was previously frozen, not fresh. Cole slaw old and inedible. Red bliss potatoes no longer were sauteed in garlic butter. Prices about 25% higher. So, after 3 disappointing visits, won't return. Service was very good as usual.
We enjoyed everything! Enjoyable ambience. Ribs are fantastic fall off the bone! Kids had fish tacos and a cheeseburger and ate all of it which generally means a superior product. Since we are on vacation my wife was only drinking for dinner,? she said the Margarita was great and the Jalapeño Blitz was delectable!!!All around great time. It was pretty busy 6:30pm on a Sunday and we still had great service.The Key Lime pie was scrumptious!! They claim it’s the best in the state but everyone knows that Perpa’s mom made the best KeyLime pie in Florida!! Fried cheesecake with ice cream was out of this world!Definitely worth checking out!
Great service , generous portions of good food and a delicious margarita..We walked out of Gulf Drive Cafe and I said " I know where we can get a good meal..." I was right! Customer service is important!
They didn't have king crab legs, which is what my son had an expensive taste for. He got a lobster instead and was happy about it. The food was good, but covid has effected the staffing at a lot of places.
We stopped for a late lunch and enjoyed scallop and fried fish entrees and a little key lime pie for dessert. The fish was fresh and nicely fried which went well with a their tarter sauce. Scallops were sea scallops, not the largest, but certainly much larger then bay scallops and tastefully prepared. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. It’s a nice place to go for good food in a comfortable casual setting.
We ate there several times this visit. Great oysters on the half shell if they have any. Second visit they were out. Shrimp burger was excellent. We had four adults and two small kids and everyone found something they liked. Kids eat with a discount but it still is pricey for the location.
They had Open tables. Seated quickly. On a time crunch. No problem they said. Left after 15 minutes of sitting at a table with no wait staff.
