I’ve had better pancakes at McDonald’s. Went in this morning and honestly it was so bad I’m still annoyed. I understand understaffing and I’m no way mean any disrespect to the waitstaff. This place was awful. It was over $40 for a plate of pancakes, three links of sausage and three strips of bacon. I ordered coffee and got a coke, told the waitress it was wrong, and had to order coffee two more times before I got it halfway through my meal. The food was bland and the texture was terrible. The people were friendly enough but obviously stressed out from understaffing. Despite repeating myself several times the order was never corrected. I don’t review or comment, I usually just move on and let it go. But this experience was so bad I urge the rest of you to not waste your hard earned dollars here. I wouldn’t even go back if I had EBT and that was accepted.
This place will always have a special place in my heart. They are always busy and you may have to wait to be seated, but the food never disappoints. They may have taken the OG HUGE Apple Baby off the menu, however. Prices have gone up slightly w/the new menu.
My husband and I eat here nearly every week and love that we can sit outside. We enjoy the delicious "senior breakfasts," (I had the crepes with fresh strawberries and strawberry syrup. My husbandd enjoyed the pancakes with turkey sausage.) The food is always good, as. is the coffee. But the servers are what make it such a pleasant experience. They always have a smile and seem genuinely happy that we are enjoying our meal. This week we had the pleasure of having Jatnna and Kentrail as our servers. Jatnna was our server and was being trained by Kentrail. In the past, Kentrail has been our server many times and always has been a pleasure. And it looks like Jatnna will be just as attentive and people oriented. Both were extremely competent and friendly. They are indeed valuable assets for this restaurant. See you again soon!
First time here. Not as I expected. The hostess was friendly. Took about 10 minutes for a table for two. My server didn't introduce herself. Not even a smile. Just a very dry personality. The food was just OK. My wife ordered the Steak and eggs. The steak was cooked as ordered and it had flavor. The potatoes were just OK. The pancakes didn't have much flavor. They were just OK. My omelette was super dry but it had some flavor. Our server didn't come by to ask how was the food nor to see if we needed anything. I ran out of water but thank God my wife doesn't drink much water with her food, so I took some from her glass. The place was clean. It was pretty busy. As I understand this place only opens for breakfast. They close at 2:00 PM. Not sure if we are coming back here. Possible that we give it another try. The prices are OK. I tipped our server almost 50%. Hopefully that will cheer her up and the next customer she gets will get better service than we did.Thank you very much for checking in. Have a blessed day.
I am disappointed with the new menu. My sister & I have gluten & peanut allergies. The only choice for us was bacon & eggs. The old menu had gluten free choices, but now everything is made with peanut oil. Our server April was excellent and explained everything for us. Give her a raise! Sorry Pancake House, you lost me as a customer.
I stop coming because of the last maneger was extremely rude to me & my family , but now We love coming here for so many reasons As soon as you open the door you can smell how clean it is .Everybody have such a beautiful spirit and attitude always get a warm friendly welcomed, i was never treated this way , the bathrooms smell SO GOOD & very sanitize . Food gets out super fast & hot. New maneger Jose always come with fresh coffee not only to 1 table but all of them this guy is a good prime example of HIGH QUALITY MANAGEMENT!!!He always have a simile on his face , he loves to engage with his customers . He wouldn’t take our tip for how wonderful he was to me & my family. so i thought i would leave him a good review.. thank you jose for always taking good care of us . We arrived at 10:45 with a party of 7 for brunch. Marco, the manager, told us he needed about 20 minutes to seat us. No problem, this was prime time at the Original Pancake House. Marco seated us short of 20 minutes. Our server, Ashley, was professional and attentive, putting in orders that needed added prep time and immediately brought us beverages. Food was brought to us promptly and was as delicious as in my past visits to other OPHs. I will surely be back to this one.
. Wanted to post a 5 star review about this West Boynton location. Haven't been to a pancake restaurant in a long time, but visited this one yesterday The food was very good , but the service was outstanding. Specifically, want to give a shout out for KENTRAIL.. Kentrail's service. persosnality, and attention definitely made our meal. He was so upbeat and positive. in this day and age where good help is hard to find and keep, He definitley goes the extra mile to please the customer, and he should be commended and used as a role model!
I absolutely love this place! My grandmother and I come every Saturday morning and we have become regulars! We are always greeted with a friendly smile and we love seeing all the same people. I normally go with their phenomenal pancakes but mix it up with an omelet every omce in a while. Cant recommend this place enough!
Had breakfast here on weekday morning. Two “senior special” deals. Waffle and pancakes and eggs. Food was very good, price was very reasonable (low). Service was excellent. Sat outside as weather was great and it was warmer than inside.
