My husband and I came across this breakfast spot on the way back home from visiting friends. The restaurant seemed like the perfect hole in the wall restaurant. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent, and my husband enjoyed the coffee. We would definitely recommend this place and will be back whenever in town again.
The Breakfast Shack is a Hawaiian themed local full service breakfast and lunch restaurant.The breakfast is perfectly cooked to order and delicious! Their sister location is the Kona Grill. My favorite is the chocolate chip breakfast with a side of scrambled eggs. The chocolate chip pancakes are the best!Since the Breakfast Shack has limited seating expect a little wait to be seated during the weekend brunch hours.The servers are always polite and will make you feel welcomed!
Everyone loves a good greasy spoon but this is not greasy. It was seriously monster breakfast with griddle works and waffles second to none. Was not sure what to expect when I picked this hole in the wall in a tiny strip mall but it was slamming! 1 cook (made a pretty amazing mistake landing my friend in berry heaven!), 1 server (super friendly and competent) and 1 buser (who was the cutest older gentleman). I did the trailer park Benedict. DO IT! Home fries are homemade potato chunks done right and side on corned beef hash, which was also done right. My girl was going to get a yogurt parfait but I made fun of her bc I'm a jerk. We saw one come out of the kitchen and I immediately apologized. Again, not your sad little parfait but a beautiful, fruit filled display.
I had a short stack of the macadamia banana pancakes and they were really good and quite- large- I had to take one home. I asked for a side of bacon well done and it was perfectly crisp but not burnt.
First time here picking up for doordash. Usually we give the customer's name we're picking up for and they tell us if it's ready or how long is left . The lady was rude, states this happens all the time, the orders need to be called it because it "backs them up". She did not take my order. Customers coming in behind me were seated and their orders were taken. So I had a seat and waited until a gentleman approached me finally. He was very helpful and patient, took the order, stated he does doordash also.Update: 40 minutes later went to check if the order was ready, it was not. The order was never placed. The lady said she needed my phone to place my order which I was not comfortable doing. The order ended up being cancelled. Don't order doordash from here. I won't be going here as a customer either.
Visited today for the first time. The Coconut Macadamia French toast was unbelievably delicious!! Fast and attentive servers. Great food at very reasonable prices. So glad we found you!
I've lived in Boynton Beach for 5 years and never tried this place. I called this Place several times to place a to-go order and kept getting a voice-mail. So I decided to go by there in person and place my to go order. When I got there I spoke to a gentleman cleaning the tables who said Patty would be able to help me. He got Patty's attention for me and she said I would need to wait 5 to 10 min before I could place an order with her because she has several seated customers waiting to place their orders. This place basically has no to-go or carryout option even though there website says it does. They need to hire more staff to accommodate more business. This is why they get one star in my book.
I love the restaurant, but they are definitely short-staffed, or simply do not care for the orders place by delivery services or on the phone. If busy, no one will answer the phone and they will cancel your order if you go thru their delivery option... They need to acknowledge people when they enter the establishment. I can only imagine the money lost due to this. Food is amazing, and I truly believe that's their saving grace.
Let me start off like this today was the worst thing to experience, the racism in this place with my sister was just unacceptable how can this still be a problem amongst us people how do they want us to be one union when we cannot even be cordial to one another that bleeds the same color just because of our skin tone clearly this will never change which I get, the customer service was ridiculous she was not acknowledged for about 20 minutes when she finally was acknowledged was rudely approached by a negative host and falsely accused of given food to and then the manager came over and kicked her out without even ordering and treating her like she was illiterate that didn’t know how to use a credit card just because she was black. Come on this must stop we also have to raise our children in this madness of world and not to be treated like this when going out. Make that difference change your attitudes people/staff.
The Breakfast Shack staff provided good quick service ...they were very attentive to customers. needs. The menu offers a wide selection at fair and reasonable prices. Kona coffee is available if desired at $3 cup...but even the regular is tasty. The restaurant was clean , yet , full of customers (it appears to be a popular local spot for both singles and family)! I ordered a personal favorite of home fries with veggies.. I have provide photos.
