Great place, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. I wanted to try this place for sometime but it just didn’t look like it was all that from the outside. So, I play horseshoes at the American Legion just around the corner on Saturdays and was early and hungry so I said, what the hell! What an absolute cool place! I tried the 8 ounce burnt ends and it was on point! Nice tender chunks perfectly smoked with the right amount of char and fat!I highly recommend you give this place a try, I will definitely be back soon…
Love this place and always pick up take out when in the area. The ribs are some of the best we've had in the area. But we also enjoy the pulled pork and brisket (although it's cut a little thick for us). We like the Mac and Cheese sides and the Sweet Potato souffle. Friendly owners. Don't let the location or simple signage fool you. This is a gem of a place right off I95.
Fantastic overall service, great atmosphere and delicious food. great food looking forward to continuing to go to this place and use them for catering purposes. everything we had was beyond delicious. ?
The food here is AMAZING! Their cornbread has a sweet crust on it and is SO fluffy on the inside! if you like sweet cornbread you will not be disappointed!! Their collard greens are flavorful, their cold potato salad always tastes fresh all of their meat is cooked to perfection (i LOVE their sausage). I got their fries tonight and they were perfectly crispy. Their house made sauces are SO good!! If you order from here do it from their own delivery service it’s way cheaper And you’d be supporting local ? 5 stars i also wanna add their service was IMPECCABLE they woman at the counter is a sweetheart
Absolutely amazing. Been here many times but never had the chicken pot pie before, BEST EVER. Anything that comes off that grill and smoker is fantastic. The sides like Mac and cheese, pickled onions and the house made sauces are also beyond spectacular
Oh man. This place is great, you could easily dissappear into your meal and be in New Orleans, Austin or Asheville instead of South Florida.Great music. Great people running the place. Amazing food. I recommend the Brisket Sandwich, with the Texas sauce and their house Cola. And probably, most importantly - the cornbread.
I’m a native Louisianian and thank goodness there is REAL BBQ. Cornbread homemade in a mini loaf pan topped with a light sugar streusel and a streusel center. Sauces unique abs homemade— delicious. Most unique meat by far was the house smoked pastrami. Collard greens and Mac and cheese are exactly how a southern momma would make them. Definitely recommend coming here if you are a true Southerner or you are looking for a true Southern experience
YOU WON”T FIND BETTER BBQ WITHIN 1,000 miles. As soon as I walked in..... nostalgia hit me. This BBQ is on point with authentic Texas style Que. Tom (owner) greeted me as I walked up and the dining area reminded me of a local Houston joint. Needless to say I feel at home and this food is sincerely the best in South Florida. I’ll be coming here a lot more often. Love love love. Meat falls off easily and is the corn bread is super delicious, oh oh and the collard greens hit just right. Everything just wow.
Reviews were mixed but we were excited to have some good BBQ. We got there at 6:50, they close at 8pm. There was no one else in the dining room but I believe they have a strong take out business. A few things were sold out, good sign and no big deal. The good: The staff were very nice, the beans, corn bread, and onion rings were good. The bad: The place was run down, more than just the decor to match the name but there were things like construction tools and materials round the “stage” and general dirt and grim in carpets and such. But the worst part, and the only thing I really cared about was the BBQ. I got pulled pork because it’s really hard to mess up and I wanted a good meal. It was flavorless and mushy. It appeared almost ground up, not shredded. Perhaps it was the last bit from a big pot, don’t know but it was gross. However a good sauce might redeem it. They make all their own sauces, four flavors. The sauce bar was a bin with probably 20 squirt bottles all of which were grimy and gross looking, again not so bad but the sauce was also terrible. I tried two different ones and both has the texture of apple sauce and were not tasty. I genuinely gave myself a 50/50 chance of getting sick from it. I finished the sides and 1/2 of the pork and just wanted out. If you go, go early and maybe try some of the other meats and ask when they made the sauces. I wish them the best because they seemed like great people, but serving consistently good food will be key to their future success.
Awesome BBQ and great owner. Must try the PitBoss sandwich
