We often go to small, independent, ethnic hole- in- the- wall type eating establishments & are thrilled with the results, but not this time. There were massive amounts of ordinary rice & beans (some of the beans were crisp & dry). The oxtails (6 for $26) were good, but overpriced. The fried chicken was ok (moist, but no flavor) as were the side salads (fresh) with each meal. The sauces which came separately were tasty, but the plantains were dry & flavorless.
Oh my, where do i start to sum it down you will always wait like 2 to 3 hours for your food and the people there can be very nasty to clients. Honestly most of the food is good just long wait time and poor customer service
I came to order food at this place and the men and some other women were very rude. They Don't know how to talk to customers, rushing me to order. Her food was being prepared and we had our orders that was being taken and she basically rush me and I did not get to order and the lady taking my order left and went to help her. Plus most of the food that was on the menu they DIDN'T HAVE. ALL THIS HAPPENED WHILE SHE WAS IN THE CORNER HIDING HER FACE. I asked the old dude whats her name and he looked at me and put his head back down and then began laughing with her and started talking in creole. I have worked many restaurants and eating at many too but this place is one of the worst/ if not the worst. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.
Some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life. You have to stop here and try it for yourself.
Rude people terrible coustmer service... ongoing coustmer lost here I've been going here for a while figure they would treat me better Than that and I always tipped. GO TO TROPICAL ISLAND THEY GIVE YOU WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND VERY NICE .
Favorite Haitian restaurant in Palm Beach. I wish they had the passion shakes. But they have watermelon and pineapple soda which go great with turkey or giot plate. There whole fish is really good too. They just raised the prices. But overall take all my money. Portions are always huge. Fairly quick. And the ladies are always very kind.

I went to this restaurant and ask the lady what kind of meat is in the legume she told me goat come to find out it’s pork. I told her I don’t eat pork and if it was pork why didn’t she just say that and I would’ve got something else she said she didn’t think I would have known the difference and she started to agrue with me when I said I just want a refund. Will never come here or recommend this to know one. I am Haitian and this is y I just go to Albert’s and tropical island
I normally love Haitian food. The older man taking my order was very rude to me...I should have left, as he was very angered at my question of what fish they had & what veggies. However, I spoke French to him to clarify my order, & went to wait out in a chair under a tree. When I got home with my food, bagged up, & opened it, there were no veggies at all, but instead, what looked like goat meat in gravy (a small tub). There was 10lbs. of rice with beans that was rather dry.I wish things had been better...I will not return.
