Chris Taverna is a great example of a greek eatery here in the lake worth area. I’ve been here multiple times both to this location and the location off hypoluxo. I’ve always got the gyro wrap. Those things are awesome and come with a ton of meat. Sometimes good for 2 meals. This time my wife and I were feeing like getting the lamb chops. SUPER RECOMMEND. May be a little pricier than the other plates but oh man were they delicious. The waiter recommended med-well , or well as lamb cooks differently than regular meat. the taste, the tenderness, the little charred taste! making my mouth water all over again!
GREEK ISLANDS!!!! That’s right they brought Greece to us. You can sit indoors or outdoors. This is one of my favorite spots to go. I took a friend who is a huge fan of Greek fruit to this. She said it was one of the best she’s ever had. For a a truly authentic Greek meal this is on point. Clean place, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Oh oh oh and one of the best baklava I’ve ever had.
Good food good service good prices wonderful family place to go to on a datehave various meals have yet to be critic of any items all excellent
this is a very good restaurant with very good food and service. However the prices are a bit higher than normal compared to other really good Greek locations in the area. Now do not take this as a bad thing as it is a small location and prices of food products have gone up a lot. So they may have the need to charge more for their food than others. Food here is very good and very good size portions. The service is really good. The food that our party had was all good and came out fresh and hot. This is a really small but very clean place and the parking is very good in a strip mall setting. They always seem to be crowded and that is great. Again if you can spend a few extra dollars then go for it as all restaurants are really trying hard to please the customers who come thru their doors.
food was good and the portions large. however the prices were really very high compared to other really good Greek restaurants in the area. Made a direct comparison and a really good place in the area was about $11.00 difference per same item same size portions. Service was very good, polite, but as stated the prices were really very high. A nice small location, very clean, good parking. I would give it a higher mark except for the prices. Now they are very busy so I guess that a lot of people do not care what they spend. It is their money. We got soup,Gyros, both of what were good and large and would not spend money for the full dishes but that is us. If you can afford it go for it.
I had an exceptional dinner here last night. I ordered the gyro salad and not only did the meat taste great but there was so much of it I was able to take some home. This restaurant has thr best Greek food I’ve had in south Florida.
A true 5 stars that is worth it (10 stars). Most importantly, authentic Greek. If you've been to Greece you would understand. I dont write good reviews often, but when i do is the real deal Portions are crazy amazing and everything was fresh... they didn't seem to cut corners like so many others have started to...at least with what I ordered. Horiatiki Salad, side of gyro, Taziki to dip the gyro and azyrtiko wine... the lemon soup was more like a 3 but still fresh and good. Service pleasant and attentive (hard to find these days).
Chris' Taverna has THE most delicious Greek food. Their salads are fresh with the most beautiful tomatoes. The grilled chicken wrap is one of my favorites. I recently tried the Grilled Mediterranean pita bread ... I can't get enough of it! Their warm pita bread with homemade tzaziki is addictive!
We love Greek food and frequent many Greek restaurants. This is one of the best! Wonderful complimentary dip and pita. Spanakopita exceptional served with ripe tasty tomatoes. Pork souvlaki, roasted potatoes and green beans in tomato sauce rounded out a wonderful meal.
Authentic Greek food! Greek Salad, souvlaki, we're excellent. Seems like a family place, the folks sitting behind us at a nearby table were speaking Greek.
