I've never written a negative review before but my family and I thought this was appropriate. My husband, 11 yr old, 2yr old, and myself made reservations for dinner and as soon as we stepped foot in the door our waitress was very rude to us. She never said hello or welcome just approached with complete annoyance. She made it very clear she did not want to wait on us. Our children were incredibly well behaved and we spent a good amount of money on dinner and drinks. We had actually discussed leaving the restaurant because we felt so uncomfortable. This set the tone for our entire meal. We would not go back.
First time at Wyld’s Café won’t be the last. The food was downright awesome. First our server, Lemm was wonderful, attentive, funny, playful and knowledgeable. I had the Tenderloin Saga medium rare and it was so tender, tasteful and soft. I should have swapped out the pommes fritz for the smashed potatoes. My wife and our friend Karen ordered a special braised rib and it was also very good, not great, very good. My friend, Keith had the hog fish and it was so good, he didn’t even offer to share it. We had one bottle of some red wine from Portugal and it was wonderful.. so we had another, hence the reason for it being nameless. For the record, we split the bill and I tipped 1 penny more than Keith.
Our first visit here, shame on us! The food was delicious and Brian was a great server! Loved the atmosphere! Will definitely be back!
One of the best meals we had in the area this season. The duck was perfect n my wife loved her salmon and the creme brûlée was surprisingly more than we expected. We were welcomed with a smile even tho we arrived straight off the beach after sunset. We will return again - I’m sure -
Service and food are always excellent. A very casual atmosphere for a casual but tasty meal! Have never been disappointed and are going back again soon.
I agree with most of the reviews, at least the positive ones. This is a very good restaurant. I haven't seen, however, reviews touting the gluten free options. Most of the menu is gluten free, and if you are searching for quality PLUS gluten free...this is your place.
The quality of the food makes up for atmosphere. We had calamari as an app and it was phenomenal! My husband had chicken pot pie and I had scallops and Schrimpf—both were great. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. We will be back!
Went to dinner a few days ago. My wife and I both ordered duck. My wife sent hers back, she couldn't cut it. Mine was only slightly better. Both were served temped, not hot not cold. Mine was tought also. I am diabetic and had taken my shot a few minutes before entrees arrived, otherwise we would have gotten up and left.Manager was very apologetic as he should have been. We got 2 capacunnios and a scope of ice cream on the house. Also did not charge for my wife's dinner.
A party of six were all very impressed, black grouper was a real highlite....salmon was over the top, shrimp and lobster risotto was fantastic, wine by bottle was vey fair and reasonable...service was top notch.....we will be be back....
Absolutely fabulous dinner. Lovely expanded interior for more spacious dining. Wonderful, varied menu. Great service! We have always had nice dinners here, but last night was exceptional. Can't wait to return to Wyld's Cafe for the finest Black Grouper I've ever tasted!!
