This is flat out one of the best meals that my wife & I have ever had. The hostess went out of her way to accommodate us on short notice and put us a table near the bar. Our waitress KC greeted us shortly after we sat down and told us about the specials. Neither of us had ever heard of a seafood dish called "Triple Tail" that was being featured with a mango salsa. KC described it so well that we didn't have to even look at the other dishes on the menu. We talked about sharing the meal but decided against it. The meal arrived much quicker than we would have imagined and as soon as we saw it we were so happy that neither of us had to share it. It was everything that you would hope for in a meal: It came without a long wait, it was incredibly beautiful and it was absolutely delicious. We savored every bite. What a treat it was. We felt like we had to celebrate the fact that we discovered such a treasure, so we ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie which was also outstanding. The restaurant is small with an open kitchen and plenty of seating outside. The hostess, KC and the entire staff was top notch. It was simply put a fantastic experience. Thank you so much to the entire crew. We can't wait to return.
Delightful evening dining out doors. The lasagna was fabulous as was the corbina prepared with a butternut squash purée. Jack was a great waiter describing the specials.
Don’t miss this experience of dining at Petar’s! We travel full time and have eaten all over this country. This was truly one of our best meals. And KC, her wonderful service and personality topped off our perfect evening! We will definitely stop again next time our travels bring us through this area.
4 of us made reservations there. Outdoor seating adjoins a parking lot but hey, it's Florida, you're here to be outside. Indoor seating is comfortable but ambience isn't the reason you are here. Our group had the lasagna ($27) and salmon. Both were excellent. A lot to pay for lasagna but well worth it. I would order the lasagna again. We had key lime creme brulee for dessert which was good also. A little pricey but high on quality. We will return and take new friends. Excellent service.
We have been here twice (1st time NY EVE), both visits were exemplary! Food was amazing and service 4 star! We are accustomed to upscale restaurants and this scored with the best ( NYC).
Great service and food was absolutely incredible. Fun atmosphere - highly recommend sitting at the bar/kitchen counter. Probably the only time I’ve ever made reservations to come back to a restaurant while AT the restaurant. That’s how good it is! Highly recommend the lasagna and can’t wait to go back and try other dishes.
Great experience, met at the door with graceful hostess. Our table was ready with seating for a wheelchair as requested. Short ribs and lasagna are signature dishes and rightfully so. Tender and melt in your mouth..Fish choices with house preparation choice were delicious. Our table all had the same special and butternut squash over asparagus prep. So fresh and excellent.. About the lobsters ? bisque..Terrific..Smooth and oh so rich..No dessert that night but will return.. Our waitress was charming and efficient ?
Dinner for two in season?... Make your reservations well in advance or you won't be dining at this shopping center hot spot any time soon. Inside (bar or table) and outside seating available. What the restaurant lacks in ambience and decor it makes up for in FOOD. We enjoyed a tasty meal of salads and multiple appetizers: Watermelon and Caprese Salads, and House Made Ravioli, Crab Cake, and Filet and Gnocchi. Not a full bar but a nice selection of wines by the glass is available. The Key Lime Creme Brulee was a delicious way to end the evening. Service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a very good dining experience.
Such a lovely night of delicious food and outstanding service. The waitress, Casey, was very attentive and efficient. We were a party of five and each ordered something different and each of us so pleased. Definitely 5 stars!!!
We had my birthday dinner at Petar’s and it was the best food I’ve had in SWFL by far. The food was prepared perfectly by accomplished chefs with only the freshest ingredients. The entire staff was excellent and we appreciated their attention to detail. I wish we would have found this gem earlier in our visit so we could dine there more often. I highly recommend dining here.
