I ordered the gnocchi bolo and the cannoli because this was one of the only restaurants who sold gnocchi that was open in my area. The food arrived to my door in a bag sopping wet with the sauce because the container it came in was half closed. I asked for utensils too, nope. The gnocchi itself wasn’t that great, just picking it up it would fall apart. The piece of bread it came with was dry and hard.
Thought we would try this one more time. Last time food was good not great but thought could be the day. Tonight waited over 20 minutes to have someone take our order after I asked if we had a waitresses. Beans and escarole under cooked pieces too big to eat or cut up as too under cooked. Eggplant parm. Ok. Over all service not ok had to ask for water refill and then waited as he had to rearranged other empty tables first. Not worth the high price of the meals. We live in Bonita and try to go local. No more here
The pros first. The food was exquisite. The two meals (veal piccata and their scallop specialty) were both beautifully prepared and presented. The house specialty risotto which accompanied both entrees was wonderfully tasty and light. The cons. When we walked in, we were surprised to see a very surly faced young woman at the hostess stand. She didn’t greet us or even acknowledge we were there other than glancing up. We told her we had a reservation and she showed us our table, smacked the menus down, grabbed the extra cutlery and turned on her heel and walked away. We saw her treat every single new customer the same way. Then our waitress showed up finally, 15 minutes later. We ordered two glasses of wine and told her we wanted to look at the menu. 15 minutes later, she arrived with the wine which she had gotten wrong. It continued like that for the whole evening; we ordered another round of wine, which she got wrong again. (Lest you think our orders were hard, they were the house Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay.) We so wanted to like this place. They have a huge and varied menu with many items which can be prepared gluten free, a necessity for one in our party. But a little professionalism is really needed for the service people at this place.
Great Italian dinner with my wife. Called earlier in the afternoon to reserve a table. Upon arriving we were welcomed immediately by a friendly hostess. The staff at Enzo’s on of their game, from explaining the menu to keeping drinks and water glasses full. Food and atmosphere were great. Friendly and accepting of all. From couples and families to large groups. Fun place will be back again.
Great food and excellent service.
Food is very good & staff are all very accommodating. It’s extremely busy all the time… so thats the only downside.
True Italian atmosphere, time between courses to digest and socialize. Felt like I was traveling abroad with friends! We loved being able to take our time with our food, savoring the flavors and the company. So many "American" restaurants want to turn and burn, get you in and out, take your tip and on to the next guest, next tip, next order..... Not here! We had a proper 30 minutes between courses and the food was obviously made with love and from scratch!! 5 stars ? hands down!!
Food was exceptional, our server was friendly and prompt, and the prices were on par with other restaurants in the area. One of the best meals I've had in Bonita. Only down is the acoustics, wood ceilings, so it was quite loud when they were busy.
Simply fantastic. Loved the shrimp scampi spaghetti. Great espresso and cannoli.
Went with another couple on a Friday night. Of course it was packed but we had reservations and went to the bar for drinks. We were seated in ten minutes. Our server was Isadora who was very good. The food was also very good. Only negative was the decibel level which was high enough that you almost had to shout to be heard. We will be back.
