Absolutely delicious meal here last night. We started with basic rolls, salmon and tuna, about the freshest I have ever tasted. We shared an hibachi dinner, plenty for two people and fabulous. The service was great, three waitresses who were very attentive and extremely pleasant. We will be back!
I did not have the chance to experience the dine in since I was in a rush and ordered my food to go. So i will go back to rate that.I was actually pleased with the flavor and quality of the sushi, even though 8.99 for an avocado roll (that was for my kids) appears to be a bit steep for Delray. Haven’t paid that much in NYC…That said, this is a pleasant surprise not too far from home. Curious to try other items from the extensive menu.
5 stars !!! Best sushi, quality and portions! Great service and friendly environment...Everything was absolutely delicious... can't wait to go back and try more dishes
In my personal opinion, this is not more than a 3-star restaurant. It's ok made rolls; it's ok service, and it's okay looking place. And they never slice cucumbers in all of your dishes. What a lazy, but a lot is talking cooking chef!? It's not 4.6 stars. It's more like 3.9.
The absolute best place for sushi in south florida!Make sure to try their sake
OMG! So Fresh and Good! we ordered the Spicy Edamame appetizer for $6.99 - Wok charred with house garlic sauce and togarashi - it was so good - I will order it to go at least once a week. The Fancy Rainbow Roll 15.99 Escolar, tuna and salmonwrapped in soy paper, topped with mango, avocado, tempuraflakes, masago, eel sauce and House special sauce... it was to die for!this place is a hop skip and a jump from my house!! Yeah!
I just discovered this sushi place which is so convenient to my house. I went there for lunch with my daughter and we had the lunch special sushi and sashimi combos. The portions were generous with nice thick slices of fish and the quality was excellent. Fish was fresh and really delicious. My husband and I went back with friends and got a sushi platter for 3, which was huge. Everything on it was amazing. We also got the spicy tuna ceviche. Although it really wasn’t ceviche per se, everyone loved it.It’s pretty small, but the atmosphere is lovely and they have outdoor tables as well. We got excellent service both times.
On 2/25/22, at approximately 1:43pm, we had lunch at Sumo Sushi. Our order was pretty straight forward; (2) Sushi & Salad Lunch ($27.98). The sushi and sashimi were excellent; nice and fresh. However, Erica, the server's demeanor was impersonal, abrupt, and she never inquired if we needed anything, until AFTER we finished eating!!! We expect the food as well as the service to be good. That wasn't the case. We would definitely recommend the quality sushi/sashimi. However, if you're looking for service, go somewhere else. My advice to the manager, Vero M., is, train your staff... you were sitting a few feet away from our table with Erica and you never said a word. Teach your staff to be courteous and attentive!!!
Ordered pick up. Waited for 45 mins in the restaurant after the pickup time. The sushi was terrible, the chefs definitely have no real experience preparing Japanese cuisine, all of the hot food was cold. I’d never spend another dollar to eat here.
Got delivery from postmates. I had shrimp udon and some various rolls, udon was sloppy in the best way possible, soaked in flavorful broth with delicious shrimp and veggies. Some of the rolls are cheap and delicious with big pieces of fish. My new go-to Japanese as well as sushi restaurant.
