On a weekday I ordered a Lunch Box Special, which for me was half a turkey sandwich and a salad. There are several combinations of this special available. Service was okay. The place was busy but not crowded. I sat indoors since the weather was very hot.

Definitely an institution since it is one of the only original businesses in Mizner Park, almost 30 years.Always very good food and serve. Our server Teshua was super, very attentive.I had the CRISPY PORK CHOP & PEACHES ,12oz crispy pork chop, peach and bourbon mostardo, roasted asparagus, and candied pecans. Very good and different. My wife tried THE GRILLE BURGER, a prime steak beef blend burger, lettuce, tomato, onion and house pickles, on a challah bun with French fries. Always very good.Great setting with lots of outside seating.

Quite exquisite! A nice surprise with a varied menu and decent prices in the middle of Boca. Generous portions and strong cocktails and a great atmosphere. It's definitely a place to check out if you're in town. Has music and umbrellas in case it rains outside and a great variety of drinks. Food came out fast and the experience was wonderful. We'll come back next when we're in town.

We almost always visit Max's when we're in Boca. I especially like the fish tacos. The pasta dishes are sometimes a bit soggy, though. The service is sometimes excellent, but sometimes awful. Sometimes the waitstaff seems completely untrained and rude.

Ordered chicken, but not very good as I expected for the location. It could be a 4 star as far as the food, but I give them 5 star for their great service.

Just had some food and drinks, food was fine as were the drinks but Richard was not the best. When you have a location like this you have a huge opportunity to make it the best place in the Park. Customer service is easy, be nice to people, pretend you are interested, at least. All was fine but I am now thinking where else to bring a party I have coming up. That should not be the case.

We've come here four times, and the service was perfect every time, despite how busy it always is. For a casual, medium-priced restaurant, the food was surprisingly well-prepared and delicious every time, too. They also have live music several nights a week. We love sitting outside amid the great atmosphere and people-watching of Mizner Park, and the valet parking stand is right next door. This is my favorite casual restaurant in Boca.

I am giving this 3 stars because of the portion size and the pricing. It was pretty expensive for not so much food and wasn’t the best food. I would honestly rather go to a local American bar where you get a lot more food and it’s not as expensive and the food is honestly just better. This place was also so busy. It does have a nice atmosphere and outdoor seating which is a plus and it’s in a nice area. The burger was good but nothing special at all.

Once again, Max's comes through with good service and good food. Martinis, cocktails, and wines started the evening for some in the party of eight; no appetizers this time. Entrees chosen were the ATLANTIC SALMON with jasmine rice, vegetable stir fry, and maple ginger glaze ($30); gluten free BACON-WRAPPED MEATLOAF with hickory bbq sauce, green beans & shallots, mashed yukon gold potatoes ($26); gluten free GRILLED SWORDFISH--one plain, one blackened) herb-marinated swordfish, sauteed asparagus tips, butter braised leeks, Florida corn, cherry tomatoes, edamame, roasted red pepper vinaigrette ($38); gluten free and vegetarian ZOODLES & "MEATBALLS"---quinoa-eggplant "meatballs", zoodles, calabrian chilies, broccoli florets, vegan mozzarella, fresh basil, san marzano tomato sauce. ($23); and CREAMY TOMATO BISQUE with crostini, goat cheese, and corn salsa ($9) (vegetarian) and MAX’S CHOPPED SALAD with asiago cheese, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, carrots, chickpeas, corn, red wine vinaigrette. ($14) (gluten free, vegetarian) All enjoyed their choice and all had a good time being out and socializing. Full bar; indoor/outdoor dining areas; handicapped accessible; on-street parking, valet service, and parking garages available.
