If I had known that the wine was heavily discounted I would have tried a vintage one. But my $6 (with the early bird price was as smooth a Merlot as I had ever hadThe french onion soup smothered with smooth bubbly cheeseWas my first course which ironically I could not get in a two star Michelin Paris restaurant ( the chef came out and said if i wanted onion soup I should go to les hallsmy quest started with escargot with plenty of garlic sauce. For my main course).I had the l i duck with brown potatoes and mushroom I as good as I ever had. If we return to the Casimir bistro we return on Tuesday when crispy duck is ?$10 discount
Best restaurant in Boca… Back to Casimir…and still impressed with this place. It’s just simply great, the food is always on point, the service is impeccable, friendly atmosphere, great wine list…. Better to make a reservation, it’s packed in there… Keep the good work!!! ????
I went here for lunch with my daughter.. I’ve been here before with no issues and had a lovely time. This time was different. We sat inside. There was a table of 12 plus a few other tables were filled and a few people seated outside. We ordered right away. 2 French Onion soups, a quiche and the smoked ham and cheese on a baguette. Our soups took over 30 minutes to get to our table. The server eventually came over to us and asked if we got our soups…,,, I sad ,”No. And it’s been over 30 minutes.” Finally it came. The server never bothered to check on us, ask if we wanted more water, nor did she bring any bread to the table. While we were waiting, I noticed that the floor was getting flooded with rain water coming in from the outside.. We moved our seats to the other side of the restaurant where it was dry. The food took forever and a day . It was very good, but the service could have been MUCH better. No one apologized for the food being extremely late, and nobody apologized for the inconvenience of the flooding.
Fantastic, classic French! We throughly have enjoyed every meal and the service is outstanding.A small menu, but we have had almost everything on the menu and it's always a treat.Their specials are great also.The staff is beyond pleasant and sitting outside is refreshing and lovely.
Best onion soup this side of France. John was excellent would highly recommend for a wonderful experience!
The food was pretty good and the waitress was sweet. We ate outside and there really wasn’t any other tables yet the server came flying out with 2 soups and 2 plates splashing the soups all over. There was no need to be rushing like that. The food was served to random people like it was our responsibility to put them in the proper place. When serving a $45 dish you don’t reach over a table and hand it to the customer. You coordinate with the waitress to know who’s dish is who’s and then serve from that persons side of the table. I don’t understand how the basics aren’t taught in a semi high end restaurant.
Restaurant excellent dinner. Had raw tuna. Desserts off the wall. John was also great at attending me.
Comings here for six-seven years. Best French onion soup and Provençal mussels! west of Atlantic Ocean Deserts too many to mention! Highly recommended
I have eaten at Casimir several times and have always enjoyed it. I ate there last week and had an unusual experience. My friend and I gave 2 credit cards and ask to split the bill in half. We each received credit card slips for half that we signed. On the way home I received ( as I alway do) an alert that a charge was put on my credit card. Unfortunately, it was for the full amount. I called the restaurant and was told that the full amount was put on my card by mistake and they reversed the charge and re- charged the correct amount. I said that they should have informed me of the mistake when they gave us the slip to sign. I sent an e mail to the restaurant and got no response about the poor customer service. Mistakes happen, but the staff should own up to the error and let the customer know. After several days, the charge was corrected on my credit card, but still no response. Food good, service ok, customer service poor.
Cute little french restaurant with an nice ambiance. Bread and butter was amazing. Then my ceasar salad cam and it was horrible. It was like greens and a little grated cheese. I think they forgot the dressing. Then last came my mussels which were luke warm only and way to creamy. I did try my wifes crispy duck and salad which was excellent and for this 3 stars.
