The food and service was really good. The ambiance at the restaurant was nice. It was quiet and the French fries were awesome. And we got to see Ben Shapiro again.I liked how the owner/manager of the restaurant treated Ben very nonchalantly and let him enjoy his meal in peace.
The only reason to patronize a fine eating establishment is to enjoy really good food, and a pleasant ambience. With that, one expects excellent service, clean restrooms, and attention to detail. Afterall TIPS is an acrostic for "To Insure Proper Service."Carmela's does have great food. Outside, at the back of the restaurant, there's a lovely patio with an adjacent water fountain. Today's all you can eat buffet ($30 per adult, $15 per child) had a large selection of pastas, delicious battered halibut, lox, made to order omelets, salads, and waffles. The food could have been kept warmer, however, had the serving covers remained on. The restrooms could have been a bit tidier, and the washing station could have included single sheet paper towels to dry one's hands. And, I wish I didn't have to ask twice for my coffee.
The food is absolutely delicious and fresh! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants good quality food.
We enjoyed the most delicious brunch at Carmela’s. The food was a abundant and beautifully presented. Nick, our waiter was attentive, and very pleasant. Everything was served with a smile which made it taste even better. We give it a 5 star recommendation!!
The most awful service I’ve ever had at a restaurant
Food was fantastic. Service was excellent.
I’m at a loss for words with how terrible the service was at this restaurant. I had no idea how this restaurant was still running with such bad service. I have worked in the food service industry and even the most basic level of service was not met. It was my fathers birthday dinner and it was 8 of us. We were called in after waiting outside and no one actually took us to our table, we sort of just walked to the largest table we saw and after waiting for a server or someone to at least welcome us and sit us I had to go to the hostess and ask if maybe we misunderstood that we were being called in to sit. After 30 minutes of waiting with no menus, no drinks we finally had our server come and take our drink order. As we put in our food orders the waitress kept coming back saying they were out of some of our choices. We had yet to receive our drinks and silverware right up until we received our entrees and only after hunting down a bunch of different staff members. We had the worst dinner service ever, it almost felt like a joke. I was so sad that this was the birthday dinner my father received. The food was ok but definitely not worth the price. I really hope this place gets it together because what they have right now is not working.
Inventive food. Good choices. Large portions. And delicious!
We had a wonderful time coming for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. I think the regular menu would be higher end food but the brunch, which is all you can eat, was really delicious and there was a ton of food. The staff were really attentive and it was a pleasure to eat here especially in the outdoor seating area.
Tried to get lunch yesterday but Covid outside seating was very busy and after finding a table we waited for menus and water 20 minutes then again aLong wait to get to order so I asked the table next to us how long they're waiting to order and the answer was far longer than us so we gave up and ate at the pizza place next door . Fine and fast.
