Absolutely fantastic food.. This is the last place I have found in the whole State of Florida that offers authentic Kosher Jewish Food like you find in New York. ABSOLUTELY amazing!! Please Please open a location in Central Florida, preferably East Orlando.
The food is alright. The décor is pretty funny. But really it's the aura in there from the staff of 'Not only did I not want to work today but you're also wasting my time'.. I just never really feel welcomed there and that I'm taken care. I've heard cashiers being rude to their management right at the front desk a few times too.. Customers should never hear that stuff. I just recommend the cashiers/ cleaners/ waiters working there simply smile a bit more and be a bit kinder- act like you want to be there- the exception to this are the few guys working behind the deli for take out orders- they're always cool and hard working.
We had a family dinner for 23 people in the back room at Ben’s. We planned it long distance via phone and emails with Joe, who was a pleasure to deal with, accommodating menu and time changes more than once. Once we got there, everything was set up as planned and our servers Ryan and Marisa were fantastic. The food was delicious and the portions super generous - all in all a great experience which really impressed this group from NY/NJ! Highly recommended!
It's horrible that your establishment tricks fellow Jews by calling yourselves a kosher facility. That is a terrible thing to put a stumbling block before the blind.
Absolutely terrible. The mediocre food is worth nothing since the staff is extremely rude. I asked out waiter for a water and he seemed extremely agitated the whole night. Would not recommend.
Graet service. Great staff. Excellent food. Mushroom bean soup out of this world, bowlful enough for two. Very accommodating to diet- one person wanted the pastrami lean, another with all the fat, both very happy. Unfortunately my first choice was not available
Oye vey! The worst french fries I've had in my entire life.I was born in New York City, and have eaten in many many authentic New York City style delis. The french fries were oil soaked and soggy and uncrispy. The french fries are rated 0/10The pastrami was not bad, but a bit too dry and lacking depth of flavor. I give the pastrami a 7/10.Ben, please tell me it isn't so! What happened to you Ben?
Tonight was the worst meal I ever had in Bens . Was very disappointed.I ordered the hotdog special with a round potato knish. The hot dog was so over cooked there was no meat inside it. The knish was so over microwaved at first it was soft and mushy then got hard. The waitress was very nice and redid my order, this time the roll was stale. My husband ask for bread with his soup and that also was stale. The worst of it all, I spoke to the manager and she was semi listening to me when I told her what happened. The right way to do it was to remove my meal from the check with an apology OR offer a $10 gift certificate for the next time we come in. But why bother making the customer happy now that your restaurant is finally busy again.Again, disappointed, mostly by the attitude.
First time there? Ask for Tim. He literally ordered for us and knew exactly what we wanted. I got the roast beef (extra rare) my mom, the pastrami. We split the giant bowl of matzo ball soup and a potato pancake. I wish I took pictures of the sandwiches but they were so delicious I ate them all so quickly! P.s. we even got more the corn beef to go for later on ?. Again, thank you Tim. You’re a great assets to Bens!
I came prepared to eat a bunch of Jewish delicacies, but the matzo ball soup was so filling that I brought almost all of the rest of the meal home. Besides generous portions, the food is delicious. The service could have been more welcoming. However, the person bringing the utensils and water was very nice. Also, Ben's is an attractive restaurant. Parking is plenty full because it is looked in a shopping center.
