Worth every penny! We've visited the Fort Lauderdale area a number of times. This time we tried Levy's Shawarma in Aventura. Don't be fooled by the name: they serve the most delicious burgers, succulent pastrami, cakes that will give you a sugar high, awesome salads, shlishlik (grilled cubes of steak) in pita, laffa or plates, fish and lamb chops. Big plus: located right next to Sarah's Tent, a marvelous kosher supermarket with everything the kosher traveller needs.
Great lunch. Our first visit and we will return again when visiting Aventura next year. Friendly staff and a large menu with lots of choice. Excellent fresh pickled vegetables and great tasting shawarma with a huge choice of fillings from the salad bar. Good value and a huge step up from the usual junk food that dominates the U.S. A healthy lunch that left a smile on my face and a full belly. Well done guys!
Wow...Levy's Shawarma is a lot more than just a shawarma place. It's an institution. We have been coming to Levy's for 30 years now. ( used to be in a different location) A couple of years ago they moved to the waterways in Aventura and the outside sitting is great . The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. (They do live entertainment a couple of times a week) I can go on and on about the incredible food but a few items are a must:The kabab is my favorite! A secret family recipe, this is by far the best kabab I've ever had! My wife always takes a Taco dish and she loves it. The burgers are the best in town!!! ( kosher or not) just like the Kabab, the secret is in the mix and I have yet to experience anything like that. The portions are very big and you can choose different sizes of the same dish. Sometimes I just stop by for a quick kabab sandwich on the go but Levy's is really a place to spend an evening with friends and family sitting outside on the porch, enjoying live music and AMAZING food. Do yourself a favor and go to Levy's, I guarantee it will not be your last time.
A friend & I had a wonderful lunch here, both for the first time. Falafel & salads so fresh & delicious, loved the Levy's Fries too! Excellent service from Raphael, can't wait to go back!
This place is definitely worth going to try if you are in the Aventura area. Food is very fresh and made in front of you. It’s not a high end restaurant but more of a comfy, hangout style place to grab food. Their falafel, hummus, and baba ghanoush were very fresh. The waitress we had was very attentive and polite. Their sandwiches come with sides and the mixed salad platter is a great way to sample a lot. All in all, worth the money and the food. If I am in the area again, I am sure I will return.

After a week in Miami and trying many kosher places; this is from far one of the best shawarma in aventura, totally down to earth, great menu, great food and good ambiance with life music at night. Totally recommend
Absolutely terrible service! Placed an order for pickup and was told to pick it up in 10 minutes. Arrived there and was told the sandwiches were not put in the system and that I would have to order again and wait 30 minutes. No one would take my order and I was told that it would take an hour and for me to “go sit down.” Finally got to order the sandwiches and when I went to grab them I was told that my sandwiches have been sitting for 25 minutes and I was handed the old sandwiches. Absolutely terrible service and even worse staff.
Levy himself is larger than life and the food quality and service are as well. Best shawarma, falafel, and schnitzel in all of Miami. Clean and efficiently managed. Stop by for some great middle eastern grub.
RUN FOR THE HILLS! My family and I were the victims of an ugly discrimination incident at this joke of a restaurant. I took my wife and two young children here for dinner, and after seating ourselves (the staff completely ignored us), an embarrassed waitress informed us that our food would take at least an hour to prepare. After telling her we would be willing to endure the long wait, she returned and told us we were not welcome at the restaurant. When I asked for a reason (we were appropriately dressed and we were all wearing our masks when we entered the premises), the waitress was unable to provide us with an answer other than, ‘They do not want to serve you.’ My wife, who is a beautiful Latin woman (as are half the women in Aventura) does not ‘look’ Jewish, and she certainly stood out from the crowd (I would argue ‘in a good way’), and I have several tattoos on my arms, none of which are offensive. Could these have been the reasons why they didn’t serve us? Because we stood out a bit and looked a little different than the more religious, conservative crowd surrounding us? Well, we’ll never know for certain, because when I asked for an explanation from the owner as to why the customers arriving later than us were being served, while service was being refused to us, the owner (and his staff) proved to be too cowardly to provide us with an answer, so we left. It’s besides the point, but little does this owner know that I am a a proud Jew who lives a half-mile away from his restaurant, who comes from a family of Holocaust survivors, and whose grandfather was a WWII hero who helped saved us from the (murderous) discrimination that has plagued our people for years. Hey Levy, put down the vape pen for a moment, and instead, ask yourself what the reasons are that you are too weak to practice what you preach, and too hypocritical to stand up for what you pretend to stand against. How dare you humiliate my family, including my wife and two small children, like that. I will never return to your restaurant, and I will be certain that the community knows of this incident.
