Husband and I went for lunch yesterday and had the broiled seafood platter. Food arrived on a plate that looked like it was stirring in buttered water. Had no taste or color. No seasoning on any of the items. Owner happened to come by table and we expressed our dislike. She stated on that’s a “broth” and most people say it has too much seasoning. First since when does broiled seafood come sitting in 1/2” of liquid. She then said I’ll bring you some broth…..10 minutes later some melted butter arrived with rosemary and garlic. As we left she met us at the door and said next time ask for more seasoning. Doesn’t resolve the issue and at $70+ for lunch a bit more should have been done to resolve the issue.
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. My wife and I went there on a Saturday. We were immediately seated! However, it took at least 30 minutes to receive our 1st water, appetizer never received(45 min passed), and we waited over an hour & 15 minutes for our entree(that never arrived)before we finally decided to get up and leave.
we've been coming to the Catfish Place since these 80's and have never been disappointed... till now... New owners, new menu with the old still available but not the same taste... my wife had Ritz encrusted Cod from the new menu and could not have been more disappointed also... hardly a flavor to it... sadly; we won't be returning to a family favorite for decades...:-(
It was ok. I miss the old Catfish Place. The scallops were a little tough and the hush puppies were over cooked and too hard to eat. The clam chowder was excellent filled with clams and potatoes. The wait staff was great as usual; very attentive without being over bearing. I'd give it a 3 1/2. Will try it again.
Read that there were new owners and although they were keeping some of the menu items from The Catfish Place...their new offerings were most definitely from New England. We went there last night for our Valentine's weekend celebration and thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING! Two of the owners came to our table separately and we spent some time talking about the food and their backgrounds. Could not find a "new" page with their new name...I wrote more at their Facebook page. You must try this place - fantastic.
Driving out to a seafood restaurant in Apopka is kinda out of my way, I live in Kissimmee. Would I do it again "ABSOLUTELY ". My experience was amazing to find wonderfully prepared food out here. Had the warm lobster roll accompanied by home made potato chips. Lobser roll was delicious the home made chips out of this wold. Combined it was amazing. The dessert I chose the flan with fresh berries, what a wonderful way to finish a wonderful meal. The food, atmosphere and service where superb. Keep up the wonderful new creations and happy atmosphere "I WILL BE BACK" definitely. Thank you for a great meal experience
If you're a New Englander missing seafood fare, the Nauti (short for nautical) Lobstah (how we pronounce "er" will take you back home for as long as you care to stay. The parking lot was overflowing at lunchtime which is always a good sign .Food was prepared to perfection and the homemade chips were excellent. It was also great to see some familiar faces. Going to return very soon to try the true test of New England seafood...lobster. If I was a food critic they'd get 5 gold spoons!

Went to Nauti Lobstah tonight. Let’s start with the food: out of this world! Are we in Apopka? Who knew such deliciousness was available in our area! I mean…even my iPhone liked it so much it made these photos look amazing. It tasted as amazing as it looked! We had a seafood, steak, chicken, and a vegan dish. How much more culinarily diverse can you get? The menu is huge! So much to offer! Something for everyone! Ok, so the place: spotless. Super clean. Super nice. Perfect. Service: also perfect. We will most definitely be going back.
