One plantain. You get one plantain with your meal…If you are looking to be scowled at for ordering food, then you will be quite happy with the experience here. The food is tasty but freshness is hit or miss. Do not play with food quality with your stomach, I went a couple hours before their Friday night jam session and they were out of almost everything. Then I sat and watched everything they were out of being prepped for the evening crowd, which must be the real money maker. As the women serving the food sucked their teeth in unison at my request for one more plantain, I was distracted by the bleach faced woman gliding in with her dark hands and white face who knew and spoke to everyone…go someplace else.

Omg! The service is horrible. I just left without food. I was so excited to try this new place rather than driving to west Orlando. It's def a vibe so I was taking pics of the place to send to friends and post to Yelp. Unfortunately, the woman behind the serving counter ran me off. She was upset that I was taking pics and I kindly told her it was for Yelp and I wanted to get the word out. She then called the owner as if I was the fbi and said "there's a woman here taking pictures" at this point I tried my best to ignore her and proceed to order with the cashier who also asked the other woman to stop - she wouldn't. I decided to leave and recommend people driving down the road to Taste of Jamaica. Most small business owners love for you to spread the word about their restaurant - it's sad that employees can spoil the experience. Maybe I'll try again another day
I literally called them before placing my order on Doordash. Driver was picking up my food and then the order was cancelled. When i checked again, the store was closed. This happened at 12 noon.This restaurant is extremely unprofessional. If it isnt a missing item, it's poor communication. If it isn't either of those, they probably flat out refused to make the order. I seriously hope you go out of business treating your customers like this.
Riddims riddims riddims. Where do I start. Well to be perfectly clear, the food is actually pretty good here. The flavors have some consistency although every now and again you may find the fairly pricey, due to market value, oxtails may lean a little to the left. After spending almost 50 bucks on two large plates of oxtail, the last thing that you want is finding it to be slightly tough or lacking spice or finding it to be under seasoned. Same applies with my next favorite dish which is the curry chicken. Sometimes it too can be a little under seasoned and present a lack of spice or too much thereof. Their rice is decent at best. The beef patties are very good when bought early, and the cabbage salad is fresh nowadays. Customer service can also be a bit on the slow end at times, so if you can you may want to order in advance and hopefully your order will be ready by the time you arrive there. Oh and last, if you are a plantain lover like myself, don't expect to get your fill on that item at this establishment because ....one plantain per plate?.
Ordered the food for delivery. We ordered Jerk Chicken, Stew Chicken and side of macaroni and cheese. The food quantity was good ?. The taste of the food could have been better. Not much jerk taste in my opinion. The Mac and cheese was not much seasoning on it.I did have left overs and ate the rest the next day. Usually the flavors kick in more over a day, but not much with this. The rice was not much flavor either.Overall it was a good meal. I would have loved more flavor and seasoning.
Great blend of island flavors with some heat. The plantains were delicious like a dessert. The place is very inviting and the bar & live music gives this place an extra touch to stay awhile.
Had the worst experience here today November 14/2021. The chief on duty today has no idea what customer service is!
The food is pretty tasty. The restaurant is sometimes busy, so carry a little grace and patience with the workers. It’s worth it. I rather come here and have something healthy & heavy, so I am satisfied for hours. I get a large meal and eat off it for a few days.
