If we are ever back in town, we will definitely be back!! The chimichangas were so good I didn't even get a picture of them. DELICIOUS!!!

Great food! Everything was fresh and delicious! Please, whatever you do, try the Carnitas! Chunks of Porky goodness that are tender, juicy, and... I gotta go back and get these again... NOW!!!

After moving here from the Los Angeles area which has so many authentic Mexican restaurants, its a lifesaver to this area to have El Potro... they are literally the ONLY full service sit down Mexican Restaurant that is good in the area.

This is the third time I came here for their lunch buffet only to find out they don't have it anymore. Yet it is still promoted on their web page. This is pure bait and switch. I will never come here again. They should remove the lunch buffet from their web site if they no longer offer it

We have been customers of the winter park location for 4 years now. There was a wreck on i4 so we decided to try this location. The food was LAYERED in salt. No worries sometimes it happens. I called to let them know and the rude woman I spoke to informed me that I was lying and the customer isn’t always right. That she had the same food for lunch. Absolutely appalled behavior.

Absolutely delicious food..Yummy Margaritas and the staff was so very nice.

The staff here has ALWAYS been great! Very friendly and polite (here at Apopka, as well as Winter Park and the Conroy location. We've always enjoyed the food, though personally I liked El Porto's buffet much better. You could get what you want at a pretty decent price and try a little of this and a little of that. However, since they reopened after the CoViD shutdown, they discontinued the buffet and that was my main reason for going to El Potro as with many other customers.I had called some time back to ask and was told that they will no longer offer buffet although many other establishments have resumed their buffets. They said there was too much waste.Sad they they won't reconsider. Perhaps if adopted the same policy regarding waste that many Asian buffets have over the years, to charge customers extra charge for those that leave large quantities of uneaten food, then maybe the customers would reconsider ONLY taking what they can and WILL eat. Also, if people wouldn't allow their little children to go to the buffet and serve themselves, it would cut down on waste. Restaurants (especially those with buffets) are NOT your children's babysitters. Get your child's plates and servings YOUR self. Small children do NOT belong running free in restaurants. If you want them entertained in an eating establishment, then GO TO CHUCKY CHEESE or McDonald's.Better yet, raise your little kids with manners and teach them how to remain seated, quiet, and still. This isn't daycare.

We love coming here and all the staff. The food comes out quick and their chicken is great. Can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.

Used to be our go-to before inflation hit, we love their food so much! However, we ordered food today that we always order and were told it wasn't on the menu (Quesadilla Rellena)We modified our order to a burrito grande and asked how much it would be to add chorizo. We were told they don't do that, when it's been done for us every other time we've asked. They also used to charge us 2.00 to add chorizo, but they upcharged it to 4.99 instead. Needless to say, we declined to add a scoop of their golden chorizo. This will be our last order with El Potro until something changes. Menu updates and prices listed on their official website would be a great first step.

I love the camarones a la diabla, it tastes so good. It is a mix between Mexican food with american style.
