If I could choose zero stars I would have done so. I was in yesterday and ordered a Ruben sandwich to go. I asked the waitress if there were napkins in the bag and she said "oh yes, they are in the little paper bag inside the plastic bag. I got in my car and headed for work. First, no napkins, then I discover that my "Ruben" is nothing more than a dry corned beef sandwich with a little bit of saurkraut. Absolutely no Thousand Island dressing whatsoever! Very disappointing $1500 sandwich

Super happy with my decision to try this little local place. It's a gem I noticed on my last visit to the area how busy this place is. I now know why it has a very diverse deli and sandwich menu along with comfort food meatloaf and others. Wow super service and most importantly great fresh ingredients right there lots of baked goods deserts too. I would definitely recommend a visit if your in the area. I will visit again when I go to my favorite wood working store next door.

I was at Toojays yesterday. I ordered for takeout. Fish and Chips, a patty melt with fries and a Roast Beef sandwich on whole wheat. I wasn’t pleased with the fish and chips. To me it has very little flavor and tasted like your everyday frozen fish to get at the supermarket. It was supposed to be Cod but it didn’t taste like Cod. It tasted very bland. I tasted my son’s Patty Melt and it was very flavorful, cooked a little bit more than the medium I ordered but it still tasted good. I just prefer it a little juicier. My other son had Roast Beef on whole wheat and he said it was very good. I had a brownie, w which I thought to be over priced at $3.99 and it was very dense so not so enjoyable. Charlie’s Bakery has a better Brownie and at a better price, <$3.00 and not nearly as dense. All in all for more than $40 the entire meal, I expected better.

The food at this place is incredible. Even something like a fruit bowl or a salad. Like, I swear I've had those exact dishes in other places, but they don't taste like this. I don't know if TooJay's just has extra-fresh produce or what, but I'm amazed. And possibly addicted. To salad. How crazy is that? You know what else is amazing? The sandwiches. That bread! Oh and the French Onion soup.My only word of caution is that if you eat here once, you may want to come back every day. So be careful about that. But hey, the food is delicious and you can eat healthy too, so there are worse fates.

I had the fish & chips. Pretty greasy fish not much flavor. The waiter was great. Checked on us often. I'd eat there again just not the same dish.

Always great rear at reasonable prices.

We were visiting a dear friend in this area. When she mentioned this place and what they served I knew that we had to go! Jewish Delis bring back memories of long ago when I lived in the NY City area and also my trips to Montreal in Canada. I absolutely love them, and it has been a long time since I have been to one. Walking in here past the display cases into the dining area made me sorry that I did not bring a cooler with me on this trip! My wife and I ordered the triple combination plate. We both had pastrami and brisket. For our last two choices she chose chopped liver, and I chose tongue. Now for you less adventurous people who cringe at having tongue and a meal in the same sentence, you have no idea what you are missing! Next time ask your server for a taste of tongue, and boy will you be surprised! Everything came on a bed of fresh lettuce along with potato salad, coleslaw and a real honest to goodness deli pickle! I was in culinary heaven! I really have to make another trip here to get some supplies as well as try out some other gourmet delights. If you are not into the "exotic" choices, you will not be disappointed because they really have an extensive menu that would please just about everyone. The service was great, the prices are fair, and you will fill your tummy! Can't wait to get back here!

The food was delicious. Our family of 5 visited for dinner. Everyone really liked what they ordered. The service was excellent, very friendly, courteous and accommodating waitress.

Excellent food, good atmosphere and outstanding service.

We ate here twice! It's that good. This deli-restaurant serves portions that are unreal! I had a tuna salad sandwich and there were two large scoops of tuna salad along with the lettuce and tomato on my toasted bread. On the return visit, I had matzo ball soup. Delicious. We were told to save room for desert, so we did. The chocolate cake and carrot cake did not disappoint. On our initial visit, our cheerful server's favorite phrase was "You got it!" His enthusiasm was infectious. The french fries served with the sandwiches are incredible. Super sized and very tender. I had cole slaw with my sandwich and it was some of the best cole slaw I have ever eaten. Of course, pickles come with everything! While we stumbled across this establishment, it seemed to be packed with locals and that speaks highly of the restaurant. For the size of the portions, the value for price can't be beaten. I highly recommend TooJays for a fantastic meal experience.
