Been wanting to try this place for some time.. Was very good, shrimp and the Mac was delicious ?. The folks that place your order and give you your food we're very sweet. Will be coming back for sure.
I passed by and on a whim decided to buy myself a shrimp dinner here. Hands down some of the best shrimp I have ever had. The corn bread is amazing!!! They give it to you warm and it's the most tasty sweet cornbread I have ever had. The sauce with the shrimp was zesty and so delicious, I even dipped the fries in it. The mac and cheese is to die for as well. There is no words to describe how much I loved the food and will be coming back for sure! If I didnt eat it all so quickly I would have posted pictures
Decided to try first time. Ordered a platter with shrimp & chicken 2sides. It was super yummy! Loved the sauce w/ shrimp & the cornbread was to die for.. I’ll come back. Also service was friendly & quick. Thank you
Onion rings slimey because batter don’t stick, cheese is dried up due to overcooking, shrimp best part but unfortunately 1/5 was only a half of the shrimp. Not sure what happened but first time this dissatisfied. Mac & cheese not even edible because how hard noodles are. As well I don’t want to eat onions without batter.
The food was awesome. We need one of these in Silver Springs Shores, Ocala FL. They would do a great business here and especially because we have NO seafood restaurants in our area. You have to go all the way into Ocala for Seafood and there is nothing that comes close to Stonington's available there.
Casual place with counter service and indoor seating. We had onion rings, shrimp, cod, oysters, red beans, mac n cheese and cornbread. I'd probably pass on the oysters next time but happily order any of the rest of it. The cornbread is cake like, sweet, I think it's grilled, and has a cinnamon flavor on the edges. The dipping sauce you get with everything is delicious also. Onion rings and mac n cheese are standout.
The best fried shrimp in the area!! The corn bread & Mac & cheese are to die for. The staff is always sweet to me and I enjoy the music they play too. Highly recommend to anyone who loves seafood!!
The shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. The cornbread was sweet and delicious and the mac and cheese was fantastic. The service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend!
Best Supper I have had in a long time. Food dropped off at table looking ? golden brown crispy, tender and I could of had 3 more orders. Unique onion rings ??????
This place is horribly overpriced for mediocre food. They’ve apparently raised their price of crabcakes by AN EXTRA THREE DOLLARS PER CRAB CAKE. They don’t even note it on their menu board and it only shows up on your receipt. $16 for 3 shrimp and a crab cake with 2 sides is beyond ridiculous. I said my order was for dine in, but received everything to-go including my smashed crab cake. The food was mediocre and the place was dirty (check their soda fountain).Would not recommend.
