Sangría, chips & salsa were excellent. The Shrimp Cocktail had too much sauce, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro & other spices and hardly any Shrimp! A total of 6, I was told by the waiter. REALLY? I'm used to eating delicious SHRIMP-stuffed cocktails in Guadalajara with very little of the other ingredients! Just enough to add flavor. Also, the waiter never came back to check on me & if all was well. He was talking to another customer in front of me for almost 5 minutes before I was able to get his attention. I asked for more Shrimp, as I had plenty of sauce and dressings left in the cup. He got the manager and they brought me another bowl filled with lots more of the sauce & a few more Shrimp. I just asked for Shrimp. No one came over after that to check on me again or to ask if I wanted something more and/or the check. I had to flag someone down myself. Very poor service & their very expensive Shrimp Cocktail left much to be desired. Will not be returning here . . . Oh! And on the check they suggest a tip of 18% or more! I am a generous tipper but I still believe tips are earned with good service & an excellent overall experience. Didn't get any of this here.
My husband and I LOVE San Jose's! It's our go-to place when we are craving Mexican food and margaritas! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I have never had a single complaint about any of the servers I have had there. The food is always on point! The carne asada tostadas and torta are delightful and the house salsa and hot sauce are amazing! The tacos Chicago and the Enchiladas San Diego are a couple other favorites from the menu. The house margarita specials never disappoint. Sweet, but not too sweet and they never taste watered down!San Jose's is definitely one of the best spots in town for good food and good drinks!
30 minute wait for my table and I was the only one waiting. Waitress seemed new but very friendly. In this covid world you can tell she was overworked but tried her hardest. 11.00 for two tacos rice and beans though is a silly price for what it is. 5 minutes you get my food and a high profit for them
I highly suggest San Jose for Mexican food! Must get their cheese dip. I always get the burritos textonos. My wife loves their margaritas also! Would go to any and all of their locations.
They’re hit or miss. Hit last time I was there and had the shredded beef burrito. Other times I’ve been it’s been a little lackluster as far as alcoholic drinks and portions of food went. Overall definitely worth a visit though.
Great atmosphere, took the family who were visiting from UK here, had micheladas and everyone loved them, also great selection of dishes, i especially liked the chorizo chimichanga, so much flavor.
I stopped in at the Altamonte Springs location just out of convenience for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and value I got for the money. The food was fresh and prepared to perfection and the flavors were on point. The service was also wonderful. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes great Mexican food.
Is a very unique Mexican restaurant experience I assume this is because the food is more actual Mexican it's not typical of your Mexican restaurant the staff could be a little quicker but all in all a very good experience and I will be going back
Drinks and food over priced. The drinks were terrible, the horchata tasted like tap water mixed with big red bubble gum. The $14 chicken salad was made with cheap shredded salad and dry thin chicken. Only reason why I didn’t ask for a refund was because the waitress was nice. Will not be returning.
We never have a bad experience at San Jose’s and we’ve been visiting for at least the last decade I think.Food is always on point and service is prompt and friendly
