Came upon this place on Google and decided to try it out based on the reviews. We've tried the 3 for $18.95 deal and liked the mainstream rolls - eel avocado, Philadelphia, spicy tuna etc and found them good. However the ones that we tried that were outside of the "regular" - the futo maki and the yellow tail scallion- we found to be bland and unflavorful. The place was full, so it is definitely popular and I would try it again as they have a pretty extensive menu.
Very pleasant sushi place. Service was almost good… a bit too slow for a lunch break but the sushi was excellent and at a good price too!
Spectacular experience! Gorgeous decor, delicious food, quick and professional service. Will definitely return
The table cloths under the paper covering have obviously not been washed in awhile. My visit before last, there was huge white drips on the black cloth that hung down by my lap. Next visit 2 weeks later, was sat at the same table, same stain still there. The walls next to the booths are really gross too. Ordered 3 beers and was brought a fresh glass with each one. Did not use them, as Every single one of them had lipstick stains. This has happened to me before here, so I know better. After you place your order, you are out of luck trying to get your server's attention if you would like a drink refill- especially if happy hour is about to end. So I always order 2 right away, even if it's not happy hour. The food is So great here, but the service has gone downhill severely recently. Servers are too busy joking around with each other and feeding themselves- in view of hungry customers. As much as they charge, I expect a better level of service. I am always a party of 2 people, and our bill always comes to at least $70, and I tip Well. Hoping they get it together soon...don't want to have sushi withdrawals since this is my only place to get a fix? Please improve Ootoya!!
this place is incredible, the best sushi, the best rice, seriously the best food, the customer service is magnificent, they make you feel comfortable, the waitress brandy gives an excellent service, I recommend this place 100%
First timers and will definitely be returning. The spot is cozy and decorations are cute/spunky and eye catching. Food was fresh and quickly served. Def recommend the Ootoya Roll our server Coral suggested. ? delicious.Coral was sweet, attentive and friendly.
Nice sushi restaurant with great views of the lake. Their sushi was of good quality, they had o-Toro which was nice However if I had to compare this one to the 1 in Thornton park I'd have to give the edge to the Thornton park location. Not that this one was bad, it's just the ambiance and flavors/selection of the Eola location was superior.Service was very friendly and attentive here All in all time well spent and my tummy was left satisfied.
Nice place with a beautiful lake view. We enjoyed the sushi and the service. Got some appetizers, great rolls and lava cake for dessert. Can’t remember the name of the sushi but one was decorated with real gold flakes. Pretty cool!
We love going to Ootoya. My daughter and husband love the sushi and my son enjoys the hibachi while I love the teriyaki chicken dish.
The sushi was wonderful..the atmosphere however was seriously lacking. It was so noisy we could barely have conversation at our table. The music was too loud and at regular intervals there was this awful screeching sound we had no clue what it was but it was very loud and distracting. as much as I liked it I will not go back based purely on how loud it was.
