I have ordered food from this restaurant for close to ten years now, convenient to my neighborhood and quality has always been well enough for take-out. I recently ordered through their delivery app online post surgery when I was unable to cook for myself and was difficult to even get to the door, ensuring the delivery could be dropped at door without needing me hobbling over to meet delivery person. The driver required some sort of confirmation and called but when I called back I was unable to contact the driver. I then called this restaurant which I have been ordering from for ten years. I explained my problem and the fact that I could not contact the driver, the restaurant individual told me I had "wasted their time" even when I stated I was an old, faithful customer and unable to return the call from a delivery driver. When I requested a refund for food never actually delivered, the restaurant individual then stated, "you are not a valued customer". There are MANY very good Chinese food restaurants in this area, I would suggest enjoying food and hard earned money on a restaurant that values your service and actually cares about their customers, that would NOT be China Gate in Longwood, FL.
Our first time ordering here and it will not be the last this is delicious!I used the online ordering and got a courtesy call back to make sure that I understood beef chow mein does not come with noodles (pro tip: order and extra bag of crunchy noodles- better than soft noodles)Great flavor, great portions- they don't cheat you just because you got a combo.I look forward to ordering several different dishes from here!
Very good! Great portions and prices. It was all very fresh! Will continue to go back when ordering Chinese. And the staff was very friendly. Super fast, too.
Be careful with this place! on my way home I ordered 8 chicken wings, they gave 4 chicken wings cut in two pieces and all mutilated; all beaten up. and to top it all instead of getting 8 pieces I got 7 pieces. i gave 2 starts because the rice was good and I didn't go back because I live 15 miles away. I know things are more expensive, but instead of sacrificing quality, give two chicken wing less.
Authentic and great Chinese cuisine. Next time I order the vegetarian soup I will ask them to use bakchoy. All of the items in the menu are very good food.
Probably some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. From hot sour, egg rolls, chicken with broccoli and rice..all were bad. Won't go again
This is not the same China Gate we have enjoyed since 1990. This food was horrible. Shredded pork was not shredded is was rubbery chucks of fats pork. The large order of spare ribs were the worst and poor quality. Super tuff and cold. Pork Fried rice was so bland no pieces for roast pork. The pan fried dumplings was 1/2 the size and full of grease. The Chicken w/ cashew the carrots & celery weren’t even partially cooked. The was food cold. After a 50 minute wait. You can’t even walk inside location. Seem like food was cooked off site and taken there. This use to be our families go to place for years. No more dine-in “due to 2 yrs of renovations. Would have had more luck & enjoyment spending my $56 on scratch off lotto. If you value good quality food forget this place. The name might be the same but boy it the food is NOT.
Nice and attentive staff over the phone. Came as a tradition for Christmas (my family orders take out), and the food was fresh. Only thing that tasted weird/flavorless were the chicken wings and fried rice. Everything else was flavorful and delicious.
I am no longer ordering from your restaurant. I placed my order and Waited 30 min to receive it. Your employee are so concerned about covid19 wearing 3 mask but they gave my order to another vehicle. They drive off, your employe chase him down and request my order back from them. Then your employee tries to deliver the same bag he just took from another customer to me. I'm also concerned about covid19. Do you think that was very sanitary way to handle my order? Who knows if the other car of people was sick or coughed on the bag of food. I think your restaurant is a joke. I didn't appreciate your employee's behavior. Also if you make a mistake just say your sorry. But your employee did not say a thing besides here is your refund receipt.
