Location is the about the only things that was good. Entire hotel is dated and OLD!. Carpets are nasty and dirty, Rooms are small and painted red. Bed was hard and felt like you were laying on a rock. On the website doesn't mention anything about their operation and what's happening. When you get there the Manager says " we do not service rooms, you can come and ask what you need". They charge $125 a night ?? Go to Motel 6 , they will take care of you better,,
This hotel as a moisture problem. The chemicals they used to cover it up made us feel ill. We had to “flee” the hotel in the middle of the night. We reached out to the GM at the hotel “Yik” multiple times without response. I am Lifetime Titanium with Marriott and can honestly say this hotel is one to avoid.
Fist let me express my thanks to the staff at this hotel. I have travel and stayed a count less hotels. I am in Delaware from Florida due to an Emergency on a extended stay. I have being at this hotel for several weeks so far. The personnel from Housekeeping, Reception, I have met some of the greatest people, I.E. Jimmy, Ian Marsha, Marja and the Managers, Housekeeping Laketa, Diana, and so many other. I will recommend this hotel as the best i have stay in. If you are looking for great service and kindness come and stay at the courtyard in Wilmington D.E. off Concord Pike.
Right off US 202 Don’t be confused by the work being done on the outside of the building. The work is reclading the outside. Close to all the local attractions. Right across the main highway from a shopping center with numerous chain restaurants. Nice feature especially if the weather is bad. Nice room and front desk staff
As a lifetime Marriott Titanium Elite member, I have stayed at all level Marriott properties and most of the individual Marriott hotel brands. The Courtyard Marriott Brandywine offers rooms at above market rates and delivers a product far below standard. This hotel advertises a newly renovated lobby but fails to disclose that it is under a major renovation. Construction debris littered the parking lot, entrance to the hotel, and rendered the handicap parking directly in from of the hotel unusable. Having to walk over extension cords to get into the hotel is unacceptable. The rooms are in sad shape. Our first room had no heat and the second had dirty, tattered furniture and the clothes rack fell off the closet wall. The general manager did nothing to address our concerns. We booked at the regular rates available to us as these were below the group rate offered to our wedding group. There are many alternatives in the area.
My husband and his buddy stayed for the Army Navy game. They had nothing but praise for the facility. Special thanks to the manager, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She was friendly, well-organized, and efficient. Breakfast was not included in the room fee. However, there were several restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and quiet. Only drawback was uber transportation to and from the game.
