Soft serve is good and there aren’t many other places to go for soft serve. Rita’s is custard and I don’t care for that. The problem is their tiny portions. I ask for a small cone and routinely get a mini. I don’t think they know how to make a soft serve any bigger. It’s laughable. Not generous portions for the money at all. However I recently got a delicious, well-made milkshake with their dipped ice cream.

We tried the ice cream cake today. My daughter said, “it’s not good it’s AMAZING!” The employees and owner were super patient and helpful with my questions. We definitely will be back!

Great flavor selection but obviously staffing is an issue. I know it's hard to find people right now but if you do bring on a new hire you have to at least attempt to train them before allowing to serve customers. Just paid $18 to get the wrong flavors with the wrong sized lids and no bag handed to me awkwardly which then leaked all over my center console since the ice cream was not quite cold enough to begin with. I also watched someone come back inside and ask for a replacement milkshake because the same employee made it with too much milk making it appear to be soup. This is a reflection of ownership. I've been here quite a bit but have not been impressed with the staffing, might not go back again.
Sweet Lucy's is one of the best small businesses we have in Wilmington. The owners want nothing more than to make people happy with the best service and quality products they can offer. And there is something for everyone (including dairy free and sugar free options).The cakes are amazing--whether you choose one of their standard chocolate and vanilla soft serve with fudge and crunchies, or one of their other amazing creations from their ready to take freezer case, or decide to do something special and order a custom hand-dipped flavor and design (for just a little more)--so much care is put into every cake!
