Nice outdoor seating area with plenty of ventilation. I had a very delicious salmon BLT sandwich.Stanley's is an institution in Delaware. Have been going to here for over 40 years.
We had a great start to our visit with great customer service from the person who seated us and the waitress. We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls for an appetizer and they were excellent.The service was very slow and the meal itself was not very good. I ordered the Tavern burger that was so over cooked and burnt. I could barely cut through it. The onion strings were soggy and the ranch sauce tasted like something was wrong with it.They do have a few other things on the menu that I would like to try. I would be willing to go back and give them a try.
My husband and I stopped by for happy hour yesterday and had a really great time. We ate in the bar, service was awesome, food was delicious and the vibe was that of a local place. They have a nice happy hour menu, from which my husband got the Jr. Tavern burger with a small side of fries. He really enjoyed it. I got the shrimp tacos which were nice and spicy, just the way I like them. The shrimp in them was good size too. I would have liked some grated cabbage or lettuce on them, but that’s just my preference. We enjoyed our meal so much that we got a gift certificate for our son and daughter-in-law so they could enjoy a nice night out, seeing as they are new parents.
Been going to Stanley's for years. The food is always good and the service is excellent. I went back a few days ago for the first time since the pandemic. I was disappointed that the salad bar had not been brought back. I did, however, have a wonderful Waldorf salad. My only other negative criticism would be that the prices are quite high.
Great Tavern Burger, coleslaw, cocktail and service. Always a welcoming atmosphere and tavern is always very clean.
Small tables bit pricy Guinness.Female Server was soft on the eyes and profetional, great classic rock and roll was playin when i was there...the food....omg!!! Wonderfull!!!! Well for hot wings they wernt hot more like mild...maybe server error...idk yall gotta go up and eat!!!
Cindy was our server and she was amazing!!! So funny and was simply wonderful ?we got the fried pickle chips as an App, I got a delicious smoked turkey sandwich and the BF got the wonderful full rack of ribs she recommended bc it was the special, she even brought a small plate of the sauces to make sure he liked what he chose!!!?.She was attentive to our table at just the right times, and was amazing!!! I hope she’s there when we come back!! If she see this and remembers it’s the couple who had the potato’s jokes going on all night.
Always enjoy going here. Food is good for reasonable prices. Service is good, always friendly and they have a great beer list.

Sam was good. Food, no as much. Fries where under the heat lamp a little too long. Beer (1)was good.
