Marvelous food, delightful service & beautiful space!
Great food and service Definitely going back!
Best staff, fine dining and you won’t find anything even close to this in Delaware!
I worked in nyc for a decade and have eaten at some of the most highly reviewed restaurants in existence. Snuff Mill is a welcome and needed relief from the mundane middle of the road Delaware dining. It’s hard to say what’s best - the delicious, locally sourced food, the stellar wine list, the upscale but welcoming atmosphere or the impeccable service. We recently dined with a larger party and only spent $100/ person for apps, entrees, drinks AND desert. An absolute steal for the quality. Never felt rushed and the water glasses were always full, which I always appreciate on a warm day. Anyone giving this place less than 5 stars clearly doesn’t appreciate great food and a wonderful experience.
This is my 3rd time at the restaurant and I would not recommend. Unfortunately the service, the food, the ambiance and the space all disappointed. The food was SO salty it was unbelievable (a complaint I have never made before). If I was at home, I wouldn't have eaten it at all. The server (who I have had each time) is consistently rude. Examples: The sun was literally blinding me. I politely and jokingly said they might want to consider a shade and his response was "the windows are tinted". One of our guests ordered an oatmeal stout off the menu and the waiter brought a different type of stout. When we politely pointed it out he said "yeah, well that's all i had back there". My husband ordered a 16oz draft beer off the menu which was priced at $8 and instead received a 12oz bottle for $8 with no explanation. Appetizer that was delivered was not as described on the menu. The chairs at the table for 8 don't work. The bench in the window is very high and the chairs at the table are way too low. I guess this restaurant's motto is "you get what you get and you don't get upset.". No thank you.....
Visiting Snuff Mill will leave you with peace of belly, cozy vibes and an overall great experience! The drinks are eclectic and delicious, well thought out. The setting is very comfortable with outdoor heaters and blankets to boot, plus impeccable service - pair all of this with incredible, locally sourced food options (details front & center) built into unique meals that change with the seasons… it’s a place I will definitely frequent!
Expectations were high going in after hearing friends' reviews. It was a little tight inside for my taste (hard to get up into the bench as a short person and no space for a purse). Apps, entrees and dessert were good - steaks were cooked perfectly. Great wine selection too.
When you taste, smell, and experience perfection… you just go with it. Chief killed it with great seafood, steaks and amazing apps! Pair it with wine from a remarkable wine list and awesome signature drinks… you have a magical evening!!!
Love this place! It’s like eating with family.. staff is amazing and management is humble and appreciative of you just giving them the opportunity to give u an amazing experience! Best steaks in Delaware
Instantly my wife’s new favorite restaurant in New Castle County, and maybe all of Delaware. The atmosphere is exceptional for a Delaware dining establishment, quaint, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and attentive, Carmen was great. Very good selection of wine and spirits and of course the food was excellent. The menu is limited but what they offer on the menu, but they appear to do what they offer really well. The Caesar salad was full of flavor and portion was ample. The Steak Frites(Hanger steak and french fries) was flavorful, juicy and seasoned and cooked perfectly.
