My only problem is that they close extremely early. Let me just say this, I literally drive to Philly just for some good soul food! Every place in Wilmington is TRASH. The collard greens seasons and smoked! The bake Mac and cheese is real MAC AND CHEESE, I’m talking bout the kind that’s at the baby showers for my black folk! The food was great and I will be coming back. They are located inside the river front market just in case anyone was confused. 10s across the board !
I found out about this eatery from my neighbor, so I was happy to support a blackowned business. I went around 1:30/2.. customer service was cool, ordering my food was easy, and the presentation was mouth watering. I ordered the white flounder platter w/yams, seafood salad and a side of greens. I believe it was $22 which wasn't bad at all. I sat outside to eat my food, and the fish was unexpectedly not hot, considering I thought I was waiting for it to cook. I didn't particularly care for the breading on the fish, bc it took away from the fish. It was seasoned, but not tasty to me, but it could've been bc my food wasn't hot. I tried the yams, and I must admit, they were delicious. Very tasty, but my seafood salad wasn't to my liking at all. I think the only thing I tasted was relish, mayo and obay seasoning. I didn't taste any shrimp, and or crabmeat in it, so I was confused why it was called seafood salad. I think there were cut up shrimp pieces, but I honestly couldn't tell. As for my greens, I didn't particularly like them either. I guess I expected them to be chopped up more fine(they were big) and seasoned better but they weren't. Overall it was just ok, but i might try them again in the future.
Fried salmon bites with chillie sauce fresh greens with bake Mac the food here is made fresh and is really good will make you come back to try more ☺️

Good food always tastes the same like when I first had it when she had the food truck by the laundromat by Plummer Center 2 years ago. Staff is FRIENDLY ?????and they give you good portions. I always get the same whiting fish platter with seafood salad and greens ? ?. I DEFINITELY recommend you give them a try you won't regret it ????

This is the best soul food we’ve had in the area! Nice to meet you today Serena (and hubby) and we will be back for sure! We had fried whiting and salmon platters with greens, mac n cheese and sweet potatoes! All incredible!!!

I love this place, but be careful with them crab fries ?? they will have you feening up late at night ??♀️? everything is always delicious and the owner is really nice. Don’t hesitate, just go and you won’t regret it :)
I came here to pick up a door dash order. The lady started making the food but then stopped and chose to talk to a friend while I waited. Very rude to waste my time.
