Best place to get ribs in the Wilmington area. Was finally able to get there on a Friday which is one day have greens. Just like Mama used to make. Russell is the most personable person I have ever met. He had me look at everything he was doing to make sure it was up to my standard not his! I recommend this little spot to everybody that loves any kind of BBQ! I usually get a half rack with two sides whatever they are for the day and I understand that every day is different. But I was smart enough to figure out that they're collards oh wow on Friday!
First time here we order ribs , greens and candy yams. Russell is a nice guy , but the food could had been better. Green had to much vinegar, the ribs had a lot of fat left on it and the candy yams were so so.
We are here at 3:12 pm on a Saturday and they are closed. I don't want to give a 1 star, because the pictures of the food looks so good. Hopefully we can try again one day and I will update my review.
OK! There's BBQ. Then there's Russell's! It’s the type of goodness that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up! Just tickles the taste buds! You can taste the love! Between the complexity of the wood used to smoke the meats, the perfect Keiser roll, and incredible sides, it’s definitely a go to if you want to feel all warm and gooey inside. All on board the flavor train express!!!!

Yo the smoke taste on the pulled pork is amazing!! Can’t beat it. Very cheap at just $6. I highly recommend!!
