Went here for a lunch date with my friend. Firstly it’s beautiful inside. The drinks are very good, and they have a lot of authentic sake. Sushi was very well prepared and fresh. The wasabi was bright green and very hot, I assume it was fresh as well. We ordered dessert which was great as well. And finally our waitress Linda was very friendly and her service was phenomenal.
After patronizing this restaurant numerous times and leaving generous tips, we get this waiter James, I ask for a large hot sake and tell him I like it hot, hot. He brings the large hot sake container half full. When I ask him why so little sake in such a large container, he points to the menu and it says 8 ounces, I then explain to him that is for the small. So he brings me additional sake! We leave him a 30% tip, in the hopes that I would get better service on my next visit. On my next visit we get James as our waiter again. As always I ask for a large hot sake, I guess he want to make a point, so he bring me the hot sake cold and barely half way full. In addition he brings our appetizers out and they are also cold. That was the last straw after patronizing the place leaving generous tips. Asked for our bill left a $3.00 tip on a $30.00 check and went somewhere else for dinner. The proliferation of quality Japanese restaurants in our area we find it unnecessary to return to Rice. If you get James as your waiter I recommend you just get up and leave.
This was my second time eating at this place. The shrimp fried rice tasted like it was left over from the previous day. The General Tso chicken was tasty but the white rice had a weird taste. Shrimp egg rolls were good. I must say the first time I ate there everything was tasty. I will take a break and give them one more shot in a few months…..3rd times a charm I guess or 3 strikes and your out
My Granddaughter's birthday was 01/12/22. We could not celebrate her birthday because the whole family came down with Covid. So I took her out on Saturday. I told her she could pick the restaurant. She wanted noodles,so I said do you want to go to Rice? This would be the first restaurant I have eaten in since the beginning of the Pandemic. It was very clean. The wait staff and cooks were all masked which made feel even better about being there! We got Pan Thi noodles with shrimp, Won Ton soup and I got a shrimp egg roll and Vivi got calamari. Everything was delicious!
Love their sushi! We ordered the Mikasa and firework rolls. Both had great texture and the perfect portions for each ingredient. The sauces on firework were delicious. Great service and ambience, would recommend!
First time trying this spot and we enjoyed it. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was great as well. The furnishings could use some updating but overall it's a nice spot. We'll definitely visit again.
Stopped in for the first time for lunch. The place was nice and clean. Very high ceilings very nice decor. I ordered Sushi Deluxe and chicken fried rice. The Sushi was ok. The chicken fried rice was not as flavorful as I had thought it should be. I also ordered a raspberry cheese cake. Omg! The best. I'd go there just for the dessert. Give it a try let me know what you think. I gave it 4stars because I was a bit disappointed in the chicken fried rice.
Their sushi is amazing and staff are so friendly!
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Have traveled all over the world and the pad Thai here is some of the best there is. Truly exceptional service and they even brought a little toy out for our toddler. Loved it!
When RJ asked what I wanted for my birthday, I said Rice. It is always consistently delicious and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Melly was our server and she was terrific. We both started with a Mai Tai and.a spicy Kani salad. This is one of our favorite versions, fresh and spicy. We shared pan fried pork gyoza which were crisp and juicy. RJ ordered the Mikasa roll and I ordered the Mango Paradise Roll which is my favorite sushi roll of all the places we have had sushi. The mikasa used to be the hairy Mexican which is shrimp tempura, Kani, and spicy Mayo and eel sauce. The Mango paradise is lobster tempura with mango, avocado in soy paper with peanuts and spicy mango sauce. Both rolls were phenomenal and there were no leftovers!
