One of my favorite places to eat for over 20 years
Been eating at McDonald's for many years the sweet tea one of my favorites minato's Japanese restaurant got to go check them out
This place has been around since my mom was in her late 20's! I have always heard great things and then I finally got to go.... all was true. Amazing food and the best tea hands down! Service is amazing. Hand made and prepared, nothing frozen or fake. This place has passed hands from the grand parents, to the parents to the children. Yes you are going to pay more than McDonald's on 4th, but you are buying into a legacy!
Soooo fresh and delicious. You will not be disappointed. They make a homemade iced tea with pineapple juice. Omg it's so delicious!!!!
Best rice best pineapple tea
Great Food!
Food is good but the portions are small & $$ She brings out this whole bowl of shrimp I got 3 in my small meal. I paid for extra shrimp I got 5 as a total!! It wont happen again!! Do better!!
The food is good. It's expensive. The portions are small. She shakes the spoon.
Waaaaaay.....Too much money! The quality of food is diff from previous owner. Never the same measurement of meat. She just throws meat in the pan no measurement spoon. So One week u may get more chicken. Next time less peices of chickens. For the cost of the food it Should def have more meat. But its ok. Not the best i have had. Its edible. Try and make ir own..It will def be cheaper & your whole family can eat for what they charge for 2 platters. ?
I grew up coming to Ms. Minato's and while the food is still good it isn't quite the same. I really miss the authentic feel that the location use to have, and also was part of the reason I learned more about Japanese culture. I even studied Japanese in college and would come to test out my knowledge of the language. Either way I am happy to see that this family owned small business is still in Wilmington as a native Wilmingtonian and certainly would suggest giving it a try. If only for that awesome iced tea!! My favorite is crab and shrimp fried rice with the spicy sauce. And a crab roll!!
