I have had both take out and in person dinning here. I'll start with the dine in experience. Not much atmosphere, but neat and clean. I had the SpaghettiWith sausage. The meal was ok not one of the best red sauces in the area though I have had better. I also had the Antipasto Salad it was very good. The portions for both the salad and Spaghetti were huge way to much for me to eat in one seating. We decided to try their pizza for take out one night and we were not pleased. We ordered a cheese pizza with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and black olives. The pizza was covered with the topping so much so that I could not taste the sauce or the cheese. The green peppers were not cooked through. I don't know if it was because of all the topping but the crust was soggy. This is one of the worst pizza experiences I have had in this area. Also we ordered the Antipasto Salad again and ask for it chopped, which cost an additional $2.00 and it was not chopped.I would suggest you try dinning in, however parking may be difficult on a busy night.
I have lived and worked in the area for over 19 years and I have always loved this place!! I have come here for work lunches, family dinners, take-out orders, catered work events, catering for fundraisers, and dinners in their party room. The portions are huge, the food is delicious, and the staff is fantastic. Prices are beyond reasonable. My latest obsession is their spinach, tomato, and ricotta slices. I call ahead and have two slices heated for me when I arrive. They are super inexpensive and sooooo good and filling!! I always order two because they are so delicious, but they are too much because they are huge!! They always have pies you can order by the slice which I highly recommend for a quick bite. Their seafood pasta is my favorite meal, and always results in two awesome meals for me. HIGHLY recommend!!
I love everything on their menu except their chicken ceasar salad. My salad was made up of a pile of shredded bland chicken on top of a tiny amount of shredded romaine lettuce (maybe one leaf. barely any lettuce) and I was handed a supermarket brand packet of dressing, not homemade, not tossed into salad. They charged $16 the same price as the fabulous chicken cesar served at Harry's Savoy and the fabulous chicken ceasar served at corner bistro. Two of us ordered chicken caesar salad and we were both beyond shocked. I hate writing a bad review but this item warrants their undivided attention.
The bread they give you before meal was outstandinngggg. Best garlic knots. Pizza was thin crust and hot and delicious. Desserts were also wonderful, ate them before we could even take a picture!
I was very disappointed I had reservations for 8 people who were all from out of state for a funeral, when we arrived they were closed. I checked my phone to see if anyone tried to cancel my reservations which would of made a difference ( I realize sometimes things happen that are not in our control) but no one called. We ended up going to Cafe Sitaly.
Delicious food! Expensive but worth it. We used Slice for delivery and the results were poor. Late for pickup and delivery. Best just go pick up.
Our favorite Italian restaurant. Very good food and very large portions.
I can’t speak on anything other than pizza. I have been getting Mazellas’s pizza since it was Enzo’s and Little Anthony’s. I have never been disappointed by a pizza from Mazellas’s and would recommend it as best Pizza in Delaware to anyone asking.
Food was meh. First we got the breads to our table, the garlic knots were delicious. We ordered a Gorgonzola salad which was one of the better things we ordered, and the Cajun chicken fettuccine. The pasta lacked flavor and wasn’t cooked well, we also hardly found chicken in it. The classic cosmo drink was very diluted. The Shirley temple was very good until we discovered two small bugs in it (and they actually charged us for it despite the mishap). But we enjoyed the pizza, it was made well. Overall, everything was somewhat below average.
Not overly expensive but expensive for the quality of the product if that makes sense. Lobster ravioli for example usually comes with some nice shrimp 4 to 6 of them. Other places it does and alot less money. Here nothing. 25 dollars for some frozen ravioli with a sub par sauce? Alot better places in the area. I dont mind paying for quality but I expect it.
