Food and ambience were outstanding. Just an overall great experience. Will definitely go back.
Nice decor in a cute bistro right on Market Street. Very friendly, unhurried service. Nice bar service and very tasty, well presented and interesting food.
This was my second time in the space of two or three months. The Wednesday fixed price menu is such a phenomenal value; that's why it's so crowded. The wait staff is so friendly and professional, but they seemed a little bit over-worked. Maybe they need more servers or fewer covers on Wednesday nights? I'll certainly come back. There are all kinds of reasons why La Fia is considered to be one of Delaware's best restaurants. The main thing is the food, and the food is exquisite.
I'm a huge fan of this restaurant. But the host and management need to better plan seating and layout of the restaurant. In an empty restaurant (initially) the host insisted on seating the two of us next to the only other occupied table immediately adjacent! Just ridiculous. It ruined the atmosphere for my guest. Our server was excellent - as always - but her colleague misfired badly when we asked her for help on changing a drink order - we actually got a bucket-load of attitude which was really unfortunate. The kitchen remains excellent but overall, the restaurant needs to up its (management) game.
We had a 730 reservation but were not seated until 8. The hostess was very disengaged. Rather than being apologetic, I definitely got some attitude from a server at the hostess area when I followed up on the status of our table. I followed up on the reservation note I made about celebrating a wedding but was cutoff. While waiting, my husband asked the bartender about a beer and she said she had no idea because she doesnât drink beer. They did give us a free appetizer but for the price, it was a disappointing experience. $300 for four people and after we were seated the service was slow and not great. One dish was exceptional but the others were just OK. It will be a while before I return.
Spectacular! We sampled the Prix Fixe menu on a Wednesday evening. La Fia exceeded our expectations in every regard.
Food and service were exceptional. It was wonderful to have so many delicious vegetarian options and helpful staff who made great recommendations.

The food was fantastic! We had the oxtail pasta, the shrimp pasta, and we split the gnocchi. Each dish had layers of flavor and was amazing! The drinks were also excellent. This is the perfect place for a date night or special occasion!
La Fia is a foodie's paradise in Wilmington. My wife and I love to come here. It's a dining experience not to be missed.
