Online and on the door the restaurant says it closes at 8. My family showed up just to get pancakes for our 2 kids at 7:10 We were told they were only taking carry out orders and to hold on. He ran to the back and then came back & said I had to order online (and then disappeared in the back again). So I started ordering online and went to check out. When I went to place the order it said it wouldn’t take it because the restaurant was closed. It wasn’t closed. It didn’t close for another 45 minutes. They turned off the ordering system and electively closed the restaurant before it was supposed to close. In hind sight it looked like they “closed” the restaurant earlier than that because it was spotless and a crowd of people weirdly walked out when we pulled up. They were obviously turned away as well an hour before it was supposed to close.If my kids weren’t so obsessed with their cupcake pancakes for special occasions I wouldn’t ever think about eating there again. Some servers are kind, but the reliability of this place it the worst in North Wilmington.
Terrible service, orders came out and both orders were incorrect. When food was returned, my eggs tasted like something was added (awful), couldn't even eat them. whatever we asked for, never received. I got up to get a container, napkins. got only plastic fork and knife. Would not recommend! Restaurant and bathroom were filthy.
Stopped in to have an afternoon brunch and they have no A.C.! There was a long wait in the very warm establishment. They need more cooks, cashiers and waiters to employ. Knowing that they would have to wait before being seated, people still choose to remain but yet complain. ?
Very busy...bust.... but sat promptly. Server was friendly. Again... they were busy but the meal was presented nicely, not just thrown on plate to get it out. It was an excellent breakfast today. Thank yo.
Lots of great gluten friendly options. I got the gluten free Belgian Waffles and they were pretty good. The waitress gave me bacon instead of sausage like I ordered and she fixed it by giving me extra sausage! Awesome! Nice. It was also nice to be able to listen to some Gladys Knight and Otis Redding while I was enjoying my waffles. I would come back again.
AWFUL!! I am a party of 1. I arrived at 11:21, seated by 12:20 and it’s 1 o’clock - and still no food. Leaving this review before I walk out to NEVER return to my neighborhood iHop. I was told my wait would be 10 minutes. This restaurant needs to shut down and no longer accept people if they cannot accommodate people. Moreover, the staff moves with NO sense of urgency. To the management and owners of this location…DO BETTER! Offer live-able wages so people would want to work. This has to be the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had!
Worst experience I had in years going to IHOP. We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Another over 30 minutes to just get coffee and when the waitress took our order another 45 minutes then she went to 3 tables to take orders before she put in ours. When the food finally on our tabke after 1 hour wait My daughter order was wrong, my order missing my pancake, we have to wait for our bill, we were there for a total of 3 1/2 hours. I could not believe it. We decided not to ever go to this IHOP location again.
The food was great. I know IHOP is a chain, so the food should be the same at each location, but it's not. I usually get the steak tips breakfast. You can definitely tell the difference in locations by the steak. The cook here was amazing. Everything was prepared to perfection. The eggs and steak was nothing less than remarkable. Every item we ordered was the best version of itself. We frequent IHOP, but this was, by far, the best food we've ever had from one. To top things off we had a great server. She was attentive, observant, hospitable and had an extremely cheery disposition. Also, the establishment was clean, and constantly being cleaned throughout our entire time there. I saw the handles on the doors, and the front counter cleaned at least 3 times during our time there.
Due to diminished staff, which we were prepared for at this time, things were slower than in the past.However, our server was professional and upbeat, despite some unhappy customer grumbles, regarding the speed of service.The food was hot and tasty.Nice experience, all in all.
Good food, service and value. My favorite part? They play the best old R&B music on their sound system!
