No intention of returning for pizza. Do not recommend.Fries and Wings were pretty good. Nothing special, but no notable missteps. Everything seemed clean and there were no issues with the staff.However, for a place that has "Pizza" in the name, the pizza should have been the star, but it left much to be desired. The best part of the pizza was the swirl design on it makes for a pretty plate. The cheese was bizarre in both flavor and texture, almost like it was a mixture of imitation cheddar and mozzarella. The sauce tastes like it came from a cheap jar of premade pizza sauce... No herbs, no seasoning, just a bland tomato flavor. It tasted like it was made from all cheap, processed, imitation, and/or frozen ingredients. Overall, it made for a very disappointing slice.DiGiorno would have been a more satisfying pie.
Found it by chance waiting for show to start at Wilmington Opera House. We go to Grottos in Lewes, Delaware often and this one is just as good. We got crispy chicken wings and fries. Plenty to eat.

I went to Grottos last night about 10:00 PM, I ordered Chicken fingers, the quality of the fingers were terrible I always get the chicken fingers normally they are great!! Well last night was the night from Hell they were hard as a rock and very dried out. Did you change the vendor for the chicken? I ordered 2 orders of this mess and 2 slices of pizza also dried out . This will be my last visit to a Grotto's!! they have really gone down hill at the the Pennsylvania Ave location. What a waste of $26.98 I cold have had a decent meal for that price!! UGG!!!
Enjoyed a reasonably priced steak sandwich and fries that were very good. It was fairly busy and I needed to get to an appointment. The bartender who served my food got me out with time to spare.
This was my first time at this location, we came in with a group of 11 and were able to be seated quickly. We ordered 3 large pizzas, some beach fries with cheese, and beer for the adults. The server was quick and attentive, and was very personable. The food was delicious and was out in no time, only thing that sucked is they had no broccoli and cheese bits. The price per person was reasonable and a great price for drinks. The location was clean and there was plenty of parking. This location is great and I would definitely come back again.
Great experience every time I'm there. Servers and bartenders are excellent. Great environment to watch sports.

Grottos pizza ( to me ) is a fond memory of the great times I had at the beach. The pizza is still great after all these years.
